Precisely right. Everyone needs to understand that the reveal/launch that officially reveals all the specs and final shape will be closer to production than now. This is why I'm looking forward to events in the fall, and stuff like this Goodwood run is only so we can do things like confirm tire size, get some interior spy shots, and maybe pull a couple secrets out of Tada-San. Plus, don't forget that Toyota is putting on a special event for UK Supra owners to see the car up close, so we'll be actively trying to get some info through that avenue as well. This was never going to be the product launch, but I get why everyone feels blue balled, Toyota indeed always manages to do this...it was the new motor, but unfortunately you can hardly hear it...
that said, I'm not sure what folks were expecting. there will be a point where things are revealed and you can see more of the car, but that will occur later on; it's still too far away from launch.
try to relax a bit and understand that a reveal like this isn't really for those avidly following this cars every move. it's more an attempt to get other people, either not aware or that haven't been actively following the car, to get in on the fun.
that's who I referenced in the IG post confirming iron block; he's the one that's close to Tada.https://www.instagram.com/moto_club4ag/
Going through this gentleman's Facebook pages, reading the comments on his A90 posts. A lot of insider info consistent with what we've learnt here.
Let's take a look before he makes his IG private.https://www.instagram.com/moto_club4ag/

I have come to accept this...and just like every other auto manufacturer nowadays, they too (Toyota) is trying to cater to anything walking on two feet. However, I don't know what the big deal is about releasing some technical specs? I mean, at this point is Toyota still in the phase of determining what engine, drivetrain, etc.. will be in the production car? I'm sure not...i mean, I hope not. The camo, wheels, etc.. means nothing to me anymore. I am just surprised the technical specs are so hush hush if Toyota is more concerned about attracting new buyers based on the exterior looks and brand hype of the car. What are they worried about?try to relax a bit and understand that a reveal like this isn't really for those avidly following this cars every move. it's more an attempt to get other people, either not aware or that haven't been actively following the car, to get in on the fun.
He's more PR/marketing/sales/translator all packed into one, but he works side by side with engineering.Awesome news! An engineer for cusco it seems.
