Hey guys, nice to meet you all. I'm working on something some might think is a little outlandish, but for those of us into OE or awesome aftermarket wheels I figured I would share for the masses. Last summer I had a C5 corvette that I purchased C8 wheels for and wrapped in C7Z sized tires. I really love the look of the OE 3LT wheels "snowflakes" and I am going to attempt to buy another set and put them on my GR.

Here is the Specs

Supra 3.0l
Front 19x9 +32 offset
Rear 19x10 +40 offset

C8 NON Z06
Front 19x8.5 +40mm
Rear 20x11 +64mm

This means that for the front there is a half inch difference in overall with plus almost another full inch of offset which sets the wheel further inside of the arch. The rear is one inch wider but has a total difference of 24mm positive offset which essentially cancels out how sunken in the wheel would be due to offset. depending on what "flush" or slight tuck is that would be my spacer size. Spacers are necessary to run these wheels already as 5x120 wheels don't agree with 5x112 pattern. The total difference in hub bore is 3mm with the C8 wheel being larger.

The Rear shouldn't need much of a spacer to sit exactly where the OE wheel sits. The front will be less than 34mm. Fender to lip is not the goal here.

That is pretty good fitment in the rear! I'll have to consider my options for the front as I don't want to run too massive of a spacer. The rears will be easy as far as the math is concerned. a 15mm spacer on the C8 wheels would make it pretty flush in the rear like in your photo. Why the OEM wheels on a c8 are only 8.5" wide is beyond me.

A +64 offset on 11" wheel is not going to work in the rear. I have +40 offset 11" wheels and the tires almost rub the inside of the wheel tubs. I am talking like within a 1/4".

Just curious, what size tire are you running? Also thank you for pointing this out!

Also note if you are +40 and 11" wide and have a 1/4" of clearance that means by running a ~24mm spacer I'd be within the fender and still have that clearance. I'm not saying IT WILL FOR SURE WORK AND LOOK GREAT. I'm just referencing the fact that it is still within the ballpark of possibility.

Yep, a 24mm space would work but that is massive.

Based off your profile picture It seems like you track the car, and I would agree almost an inch spacer is massive if you're driving the car how you likely drive yours. Especially from a performance aspect. For a street car as long as you're getting a good spacer that is hub-centric I would argue it's maybe less intense. But it's all different tastes. I might try it out just to see visually what I'm working with. I really appreciate the input regardless. It's actually really helped me this morning.

@Evolution doesn't track his car, that's just how california freeways look like.

So it is a little later in the day and I want to update this thread because I want people to follow along for the bullshittery. This is purely for memes and could be a waste of my time, but I started this thread so for the sake of everyone who may see it I am going to follow through in case someone in 15-20 years picks a MKV up for $3500 and has their dads old wheels collecting dust in a corner somewhere.

After crunching some numbers you are essentially going to want a 25mm spacer both front and rear. Front COULD be larger but a 1" spacer is about as ridiculous as I'm willing to go. The spacer I am getting is being custom made by my buddies over at Motorsport-Tech.Com (godbless Lenny)

I ordered a 25mm 5x112 to 5x120 adapter spacer with hub bore starting at 66.5 mm and going out to a hub-centric end of 66.9mm likely the only acceptable way of doing this and not being completely reckless with plastic hub rings or spacer stacking which I highly advise against.

I pick up the Wheels This Saturday for a crisp $300 and will update this once I have a mock-up pre tires. I'll also include tire size and more photos once stuff starts coming in.

Sit back pop open a coronita and watch me waste my money.
