Recently installed CSG CP pads front and rear. I just noticed my rears don’t look like they are making full contact on the right rear. Was wondering if anyone else encountered this. I did just go out and tried another bedding procedure right before pics. Braking also feels normal.

If you have CSG pads with the little posts, you need to make sure they are on the right side (some batches don't have these posts.)

If you don't have them on the right side, what you are experiencing happens as the posts interfere with the piston and the piston puts more pressure on one half of the pad.

Example of the little posts on the backside of the pads. The pad with the posts in the middle goes on the outside, the posts that further apart go on the inside. You can also tell by the large cutout on the top of the pad for the brake wear sensor.

You don't even have to take them off to check. You can see the outside pad clearly in the caliper.
They don’t have those dimples. The exposed back is all flat. There must be something there though that is preventing the movement that it needs. I’ll have to inspect.

Okay, I would swap the pads on the side of the car you having the issue. Without the dimples, look for the side that has the larger cutout on top, that goes on the inside. The pad with the bevel on top goes on the outside.

Yup like a dum dum I put the two insides on one side and the two outsides on the other side. Swapped them today. Thanks again.

One more question because I can’t tell with the wheels on. Are the fronts inside outside specific too or are they identical?

Glad you got it fixed!

I believe the fronts are the exact same pad both sides.
