I know the bottom code is a map temp sensor, I have a new one on the way, can someone tell me what the top one is? I googled it and came up with nothing…

Thanks in advance!!

CEL, I actually found it on bmwfault.codes. If the new sensor doesn’t fix it I guess I’ll have to look into wiring?

@zrk yes they do, I’m hoping it’s a bad sensor…I did have the connection on the charge pipe, so I guess I couldn’t over heated it and fried the wires?

Have you tried to unplug the sensor and see if the code changes?

@MYA90SUPRA you mean unplug it and then start the car? I didn’t, I can tho if you think it’ll mess anything up?

I unplugged the below pic connector and started it. I didn’t get a code.

then I additionally unplugged one below and got the following codes

I think I’m just going to have my Supra tech hook it up to their “special” diag tool to see what’s up…this is kinda weird. I wonder if my JB4 is even working? I’m going to change it back to factory map on the way home and see if the car is less powerful. My wife recorded the sport display and it clocked 383HP at the highest, just doesn’t seem right…

Sport display is bullshit. It doesn’t mean anything. 384hp (or whatever) basically means, ‘WOT’. You cannot measure HP that way.

Yeah unplug it and see if the code changes. It's a troubleshooting technique. If your code changes from shorted to voltage above normal most likely a bad sensor. Well cat troubleshooting technique, but I would think bmw and other car manufacturers would be close.

What about “TMAP signal active with engine off”? Any idea what that means?
