Bad ppf with ceramic coating .

Had this done a few weeks ago and all these things are killing me..Am I being overly picky or is my concerns valid.What would you do ? Sorry for the photo dump and this isn’t all of it.The ceramic coating also hasnt been applied correctly and they are saying that there just gonna put another coat on top of it. Soap won’t even bead of it smoothly and is sticking to the film.Are these simple fixes or am I just going crazy ..lol

My car has track package xpel (front bumper, headlights, hood, a pillar, mirror caps, half roof, rockers, rear quarter) and a full nanolex ceramic coating over everything on the car. I can 100% tell you whoever did your work did a subpar job way to many pieces are lifting which will down the road cause the film to fail and the cuts and way they laid it down make the edges too obvious. Some minor imperfections are expected as it's laid by hand and human error but this is a bit more than a few and far from minor. The lines on the front bumper are normal since it is done in 3 pieces due to the curves and weird shape. But your car doesn't have a ceramic coating on it at all the water should sheet off and bead up which isn't happening in your video. On a professionally coated car you can feel how smooth the paint is from just touching it.

I've had ppf on my gr86 for about 6 months and I track it. It definitely shouldn't look like that. I had a few areas bubble up a couple weeks after it was applied. The guy who did it guaranteed his work and cleaned it up. No problems since. Personally, I would ask them to redo the entire job or ask for your money back. If you paid by credit card I would put a dispute in with the card company if they do not honor your request... and gather as much evidence as possible to back up your dispute. Or just chalk it up to lesson learned (get what you pay for) and move on to another vendor.

These are simply awful bad job. Get remove and demand refund ASAP.

Sadly this was not a cheap job as they are one of the most expensive places in Vancouver ..

This looks like an absolute kindergarten level install man; I'd request for it to be removed entirely and your cost refunded — any shop that puts out this level of garbage work probably isn't going to magically give enough of a fuck to do it right the second time around.

Then you make it harder and put in a CC dispute and also spread the word of their work. Word of mouth will kill them if they aren't going to do the right thing. I'd also take note of how it looks when it's removed. Going by those photos, they prob made some cuts into the paint as well. That is another issue they need to be held responsible for, if that is the case.

Document any warranty paperwork from them and file a chargeback with your credit card company. Also good to just document everything you can in general incase you need to hose their reputation publicly — many times it comes to that to get a shit vendor to actually do something. You should honestly name and shame 'em regardless, to prevent others from giving them business when they suck.
