Anyway I’m not trying to hijack his thread that’s just my response to the initial comment.

I feel like people are thinking verus developed them. I like verus and their products but I hate when a solo dude went out and started a product that SO many people used and he just gets overlooked.
That's every product ever invented. An exhaust cover has been done over other platforms for years (decades?). So what about the person that invented those? :D I'm teasing but see your point. They have been around forever. That other guy is more than welcome to advertise his. I'm not picky on who makes the one I buy, but I definitely need one.

The aftermarket car parts industry is cut throat and not for the meek?

Holy shit, shocking news!

Hopes and prayers to the people just now discovering this.

I fixed it for you. I'm still amazed that small plastic triangles are sold for over $100US to stop wind buffeting. What a joke.
The price we pay for owning cars that are still in their infancy, in terms of development. I have an '06 Evo. You should have seen how ridiculous things were in 2003 and for a few years after. It was JUST like the current Supra market.

A small hood for the infotainment screen with an overhang of 1.5" at the top. The main purpose being to remove the 'tesla' tacked on screen look (that may not age well and/or is already disliked in my case.) Secondary reasoning is that the overhang should help reduce glare on the screen and/or allow the unit to be dimmed without as much visibility reduction. The part should work with both LHD and RHD cars without any rework being needed.

I would guess this part would be a solid 3d printed piece. This would give you a few relativly simple finish option. Unpainted plastic or Painted, Carbon Skinned, Alcantara wrap. I personally would try to source some leatherette (or whatever they used for the armrest) and wrap it with that. The key being the base plastic part needs to be thin walled, heat resistant and very durable with an OEM+ fit and finish.

There already are a few carbon covers for that area but nothing that integrates it to the screen.

*in my best Jeremy Clarkson's voice* AHEM- I humbly will accept one free part as a small token of gratuity for my upmost brilliance upon finished development.

Can we get some big ol' triangle frame-mounted Rosco convex bus mirrors for this thing? I have no clue where the front of my car is and would like to stop parking 1/4 mile away from every concrete block stop.

I would honestly trade a backup camera for a front-lip camera... I think I need it more than those jeeps and Hummer EVs anyway.

Actually, if you're going to do something mirror related, this would be better: Can we get an MKV refresh of these bad boys?

I figure it will kill two birds with one stone, no more wind buffeting, and a truly ... unforgettable, classic look. You could potentially even incorporate some fake vents into the mirror cap design to keep with the theme.
