I only use Zelle for in person transactions
No cash to rob me for 🤣
But yeah piece of mind to always buy from a reputable vendor with my CC and an invoice

I appreciate all the input. I had not used ZELLE outside of my family. Down side no carbon fiber piece the the whip. Upnside there is a great deal of chatter about this thanks for the support!
Cheers!

I'd be happy to get you right in loo of your unfortunate past experience, hook it up with some deals as I know personally going through that sucks, no one deserves that.

Same here, I tried to buy a catless downpipe here in the forum and the seller agreed to my price, I asked for his PayPal and he hit me with the I only use Zelle, I kept asking him if we were still on for the transaction and he bolted!
This was all through text btw

Even though I've had no experience with him/them, scammers and thieves boil my blood, and I'm all for locating this sack of human garbage and introducing him to life in a wheelchair.

I'm not saying I'd be the one to give him a full body massage, but the carelessness of scammers & thieves these days is downright shocking. Let's be honest, there's A LOT of crazy-ass people out there, you have no idea who you're ripping off, and how they'll react. These fuckers have balls, that's for sure.

I personally was ripped off two years ago by someone that used to be on here, and the amount of information about him I was able to dig up in just a couple days (on lunch breaks, from 2,000 miles away), should give him nightmares if he has half a brain..
Are you talking about Frank? Ortiz was his last name right? 😂 Aka @.frankelito? The one in florida? The one who's address you had up publicly? The one you had on your signature for the longest? 😂😂

Unlikely. These people use their own bank.

First they're too stupid to have a perfect fake identity with perfect documentation and social and they're also too dumb and lazy to truly control someone's bank account as it's harder than you think anyway.

They use their own account because let's face it most people will just forget it and move on and those who report to cops or banks will find not much will happen anyway over $300.

To control someones bank you would need their debit card cloned, know their pin code. You can't just walk in a bank with a fake Id.

Plus peiple use their banks so extra debits and credits would show up.

No believe me if you want to find him see who's name is on the zelle and you got him. Report fraud to the bank of the guy who defrauded you
Just want to note this is not true from a mechanics perspective. In most cases all you need for a "stolen" bank account is a username and password, as many especially small banks don't require 2FA for authentication. I've come across a couple accounts with millions in them that were only protected using a username/password. It's as easy as getting credentials yourself or buying them very cheaply (about $5 to $7 dollars) on the dark web. You can buy them in bulk for even less. I work LE fraud investigations as part of what I do for a living and deal with this shit all the time. However, like you said, there's very little anyone is going to do about it for $300. Most of these morons just use their own bank accounts.

Sorry to see this.. and WTF is someone going to do with only $300..buy street drugs? This is so stupid hardly worth running and evading police.

If someone told me they would give me $300 to go run a mile, I still won't do it.

Hello Supra supporters,
I’d like to thank everyone for sharing thoughts and even reporting options. My only purpose was to notify other members of this individual. Hopefully, keeping the people that have given me so much help with upgrades and ideas on my car from going through the same issue. I appreciate this forum and look forward to meeting and driving with all in the future.
Cheers!

The car was a Salvage title when he bought it, so if he totaled it again, it's surely for the best.

When I was at peak rage level, I cooked up my own elaborate, nearly fool-proof plan to make him a 'former Supra owner'...

Not that I'd ever act on such a thing, as I'm not a thief, but the idea was there, and it was a damn good one.
