Whelp… guys I guess I’m going to be the Guinea pig for this particular venture. Within the next few months I plan on going all out including shipping my ecu to femtos.

Initially short run I plan on jb4 since I already purchased a Valvetronic designs catback, eventuri intake and still making a decision on which downpipe I want.

Long run plan will have me going full flexfuel e85 build.
Leaving this thread here in hopes those that have the same interest can bounce ideas/additional info off eachother. I’m assuming there won’t be much change between auto and manual A90s. But hey if I run into issues maybe I can be an example of what NOT to do

hope I put this in the right category

Looks like we will be in the same boat, my car goes in for the dp/exhaust next week, I will also try the jb4 to start as well. Downpipe is easy, if catted, go AA, if catless, any

im going to ship it to femtos in Finland I’ll be letting Visconti take care of it.
They don’t have any spare ecus at the moment right? If you’re just getting an unlock you can’t run flex.

I haven’t been following the news on femtos but I’m thinking when I’m ready by December we should be good! Going to be following @NitroyellowA90 footsteps with the jb4 first for a little and then balls to the wall it

I don’t know if you had any luck with the JB4 but mine (with the help of Jesse who imo has been a true gentleman and has a ton of patience) is a piece of shit. Throttle issues boost cut issues etc…. I’m pretty much all but ready to ship it to femto at this point a partial unlock with an MHD seems like the plan before I drive this thing into a wall at 150mph

I’ll be honest, I don’t know why jb4 gets recommended so many times when the partial unlock from Femto is only $750 including return shipping.

totally worth it, especially for you manual guys who cant even clone yet.

Some of us like to do things the difficult and expensive way.

i wanted to save the warranty, I paid the car in full there’s no liens so I was like hmmm what’s the easiest Way to make more power and not risk voiding my warranty…. But Eff it I’m sending it

It’s not even that, jb4 just drives terrible in my experience. It’s like adding latency to the pedal, and the feel is so disconnected.

it’s basically the same price as Femto, the only reason I could see someone suggest JB4 over Femto, is because you’re really really scared of shipping your ecu over the ocean.
