Aftermarket coil overs will require the installation of EDC’s. These cancel out the need for the shock feedback/resistance. KW and RSR make them for the Supra. They plug into the harness where the factory plug meets the shock bodies. As far as coilovers are concerned chose based on your use case. My use case is 100% track for time attack. I ordered a custom set of JRZ’s at $10k that have special valving and the 50DA shaft. The KW clubsports are a great compromise for road and track use however the spring rates are a bit to soft for 100% efforts. The valving is also lighter than what is needed for heavily modified cars. The next step up would be JRZ RS/RS Pro or MCS. The valving is more track focused but still workable for the street. You will need to specify spring rates.

Glad you got it figured out! How many spacers did you end up with?

Take a look at Ohlins for street/track. Great cost/performance/ride quality ratio.

Then after that, large bump in price…

Next up would be MCS. Great ride quality and amazing on track. I personally use MCS.

JRZ vs MCS is preference.
I believe 2 spacers but not entirely sure. I know he was really happy with the end result and also figured out during full compression, the tie rod was likely hitting the sway bar. So that adjustment was made as well.

I love Ohlins brand & they sound like the sweet spot I'm looking for. As long as I can pop in some EDC's, sounds like they'd be a decent upgrade over my Eibach springs.

MCS or JRZ's sound amazing! But not there yet for me. I'd want a dedicated race shop to fine tune all the settings on track. I'm still in the honeymoon phase. I've got a heat exchanger from Jesse going in this week and some PPF getting slapped on before my next Friday track day. Definitely trying to pace myself with the upgrades, and it's not going well. ?

Update: Problem solved thanks to everyone’s input. Ride height back to normal with Ohllins and have a couple of shops for different things. One for general service and another for race stuff - got my alignment (track) setup for my parts.
