TL/DR - If you were looking for another hood and hatch for the Supra, where would you look? I've looked at eBay and CarPart.com so far, but finding Supra body parts that don't require obscenely expensive shipping is challenging.

For those with longer attention spans, I haven't been here for a while, as all things motorsports have been low on the priority list for a few months. This may be an exercise in thinking out loud...or it might happen.

I've ALWAYS been a guy who thinks about resale AND I don't keep cars for long time. I'm 3 years/25k miles into ownership of the Supra, still in a pretty-close-to-stock form. I also have a big pile of aero in boxes waiting to go on the car, so I'm thinking about next steps. I'm having MAJOR palpitations about drilling holes in the hatch for the wing and cutting really big holes in the hood for the vents. My brain tells me I need to have a plan to put the car back to a stockish form when the time comes to move on. Since I'm running a friend's Cayman S for One Lap '26, I don't have a hard deadline for anything on the Supra.

I'm casually looking for a hood and a hatch for my car. I don't really care much about the color, as I'll probably throw some on CF wrap so it looks half decent and send it. In theory, I get my cake and eat it too this way, as I get to finally install this stuff I've been collecting for 2 years, but keep the ability to put the car back to stockish and sell when my automotive attention deficit disorder takes over. Selling the hood and hatch, ready for track duty, well, that might be harder, but I think I'm willing to take that risk.

This.

There are several places locally that do part outs and you can call them to ask for notification when specific cars come in. Major cities will have a lot more options, and almost all of them post on fb marketplace. Find some place that has import engines for sale and message them asking if they get whole cars, or knows who does. They'll probably direct you to the right place.

Other option is to find an ebay listing (or similar) that's close enough you'd drive to it, then low ball them saying you'd pick it up.

Tim...if I buy something in SC, can you hold it for me?. (No, I wouldn't ask you to do that).

I can't wait to see my wife's reaction when I bring more body panels into the basement. I had foxbody fenders and a hood sitting next to my sim rig for almost a year :-D

Not a Corvette.
One thing to keep in mind is that hatch swaps are not as straight forward as you might be thinking. Def heard some horror stories about the wiring, etc

If i had that constraint, I would look into a rear crash bar chassis mount (battle aero) and then ask a motorsports wing company (AJ, Sydney, Faircloth, Zeb, etc) if they can attach custom-spaced brackets to match.

Rear bumper should be much easier to find and replace than a hatch.

Ugh, I had forgotten about the hatch swap challenges. I already own the Verus UCW, and my somewhat thrifty nature doesn't want to go to my friend who works at Zebulon and pay to fab up something super custom. Crap.

I did find a black hood for $300 locally...but the timing is poor. I'm a fed, and I have a few things to pay off with the check coming Monday before I get to spend Supra stuff money.

I'm the same way lol, way easier if it's just a spare trunk for other cars but the hatch makes it tricky. And the hatch liner isn't removable either so you gotta cut it as well.

I think the easiest would be to paint match plug the holes or duckbill spoiler over the holes when selling.
