Since its not retrofitable, I was considering making/purchasing aftermarket splitter ramps and sandwiching an aluminum bracket in to be able to swap back to a flat splitter depending on which org I'm competing with since SCCATT Max requires flat plane splitters (boo)

Ayy, fellow a90 on Advans that arent GT's. Nice! ?

That rule changed this year. Was stupid to begin with and I guess enough people complained about it.

I havent used them beyond that one TT weekend. Others have recommended a 3mm spacer to help clear but personally Ill be doing 5mm and shouldnt cause any more issues.

*verus' pic from their instructions

I have run 5 degree AoA for CMP, VIR, NCCAR with their v1 splitter and the balance felt great. I ran 10 degrees for a whole weekend at CMP and was fighting aero imbalance/understeer at a high speed section(kink). Tried to adapt my driving to it but the understeer was too much to keep it on track. Id want to add more front grip beyond the v1 verus splitter but I think I can find more time before I need to start adding more front aero.
Sane exact setting I am using. Just did nit know the degrees by bolt whole

How are you guys keeping the front of your cars so nice? After just one season, the front of my supra is pitted pretty bad, just like my previous cars I have tracked.

Maybe I follow people too closely?

Ignore the splitter and canards as I literally just put them on right before these photos...

Mine is always sand blasted. I made the air dam on mine out of aluminum. Have painted several times with truck bed stuff just ends up back like this. Not a show car(lol) but hopefully a go car!

I am also glad that a few others have done the verus hood vent - just needed to get past cutting a hole in your brand new hood.... I also put vented fenders and cut out the wheel well/ screened it. Again trying to manage brake heat. Here is a pic so for those going full track mode.

Have you gone with the Verus brake cooling kit? That is night and day for maintaining brake heat

Thanks for the pic. I was looking at the top fender vents but wondered how to get that open so let us know how it works. Now just have to cut another whole in hood and get a good vent. I also found the 4' grinder with a cut off wheel does wonders on that plastic vs a small Dremel.

Also….Dremeled out two layers of plastic and wheel liner to vent wheel arches today

I completely removed that upper plastic piece completely when I did the intake manifold/heat exchanger and never put it back. I have wondered if there is a practical reason to need it other than cosmetics.

Usually just happens when you go out with super low pressures like 24-25 and they can’t get up to pressure on the out lap.
Makes sense. I don't think I've ever set my cold pressure to under 26/27 and then adjust down throughout the day.

I’m going to do this for now on.

I’m getting peppered all the time at Homestead and Sebring. Depends on the other vehicles out there too. At PCA, not nearly as much debris on the road with a lot of sock’ish Porsches. But who knows… I’ve got PPF and my wife viciously scrubs the car down when we get home. I want to enjoy it and she wants it looking good. So my car is always somewhere in between lol.

I should also add that I did this the other day when the outside temp was somewhere between 25 and 30°F and SOMEHOW managed a PB by almost 2 sec on my 3rd lap lmao. Pretty sure my tires weren't even at 80° and MAYBE hovering somewhere around 30 psi hot. Falken RT615K+ keep surprising me and they have like 2/32 left on em.

This is a great thread btw! Shoutout to OP for bringing it up. It took me a few days to catch up but there's some good reading in here.

I got through my first season tracking the car this past year with 7 events and I'm looking forward to going way harder this year. I'm only on eibach springs, square 18" wheels (275/35/18), CSG CP pads, bolt ons, and a BM3 OTS tune. This year I focus on suspension and seat time ?

Speaking of which... Can we discuss the massive hole in the market in between KW's that keep blowing up and the massive jump to the JRZ and MCS tier? Is there anything in between that anyone in here is running??

Random thought:

Would be cool if everyone with instructor credentials etc put it in their signature. Personally think it's a great way to showcase your wealth of knowledge in this context where we all share experiences. ? There's a lot of experience floating around in here! Love it!

Snapped this on way to work this morn. Looks better, to me, in day
But almost one month till first event and I have to:
Paint bumper, car is getting a “race car” wrap
Fresh alignment w more camber
Sit car on new trailer and she goes she pulls

Getting antsy in the pantsy
