My PSVR2 arrived recently and I went ahead and ordered a wheel/pedal + cockpit setup to enjoy Gran Turismo 7 in VR. It's pretty wild how accurate the interior details are in the Supra including the dashboard and windshield HUD.

Here are some pics of my setup (racing in a Supra in picture 3):

I just got my VR2 last week as well, but my wheel does not work with PS5. Seeing how I just spent about $10k on track time and mods on the real life A90, it's pretty low on the list lol.

How do you like it? How would you say the vehicle dynamics compare to real life? Any issues with motion sickness?

I had an old Logitech Driving Force GT wheel that I used on PS3 for GT5 - it was not supported on PS5 so I went with the G923. I've been considering repurposing the Driving Force GT in an arcade racing cabinet...

PSVR2 is great. I have an older Oculus CV1 for reference, and compared to that, the field of view and resolution is much improved. The fact that the PSVR2 only uses one USB-C cable is a huge improvement too, my Oculus needs three cameras positioned around the room for tracking. I've seen a lot of comparisons to the Meta Quest 2 - sure you can plug that into a high end PC for graphically intensive games; but if you have a PS5 the PSVR2 is a very premium VR experience.

Motion sickness depends on the game. Been playing a lot of GT7 and Pistol Whip - neither make me motion sick. Resident Evil 8 does though - largely due to the analog stick movement controls.

As far as the virtual driving experience vs the real experience of driving my Supra... it's pretty close! Doesn't beat the real thing though ;)

CV1 owners represent! Had to switch to an old set of wireless headphones as the right earphone died (fixed it), and then the left headphone died. In a bit of a limbo now because I don't know if I want keep the tether or not & I'm not feeling the current products that are out there. I'd like eye tracking, foveated rendering, etc etc etc.

It's a shame they don't make the VR2 for PC, but I suspect the price is subsidized for the PS ecosystem.

Nice! The last GT I played was GT5 on the PS3 using a Logitech Driving Force GT lol. Thanks for the feedback. I am very impressed with the VR2 (and PS5 for that matter) so far too, but I haven't been playing any serious driving games, mostly Doom Eternal and GTA V.

I would like a driving simulator at home, but I really don't want to go down the sim racing rabbit hole. Your setup is very interesting though because I'm already invested in the PS5 and VR2. I'm just curious about how realistic they got the physics in the game really. I guess I'll have to try it out for myself once my credit card cools off.

Glad I'm not the only one. I can only play RE8 for a little over an hour before I want to puke 🤢🤢

GT7 doesn't make nauseous but on certain tracks where there's a quick down hill elevation change I get a funny woozy head feeling.

GT7 is so good in VR - I get such an adrenaline rush each time the race starts and throws you into the cockpit. Apparently an update came out today that some are claiming improves graphical fidelity too. Will check that out tonight.

Dang... y'all making me want to get a PSVR2 now just for GT7. Have GT7 and a Thrusmaster T248 wheel... last I tried VR though, it was a shooter and I got motion sick real fast.

Guessing the corkscrew at Laguna Seca will probably do this to me in VR - never driven that track in real life, but have heard from others that you go in blind into the corkscrew and it's like a 30 foot drop or something.

See. This is why I don’t come to the forums too often… I get tempted into buying things. But I am super excited to try out GT7 in VR.

And yes, that’s my gaming setup in a closet… don’t judge me.
