So I just want to say that this is my first post. I joined yesterday after reading this thread. Everyone always has a first post - it doesn't always mean that they are trying to scam you. It is unfair that this guy is just trying to sell an item he bought and you guys are giving him a hard time. I just started reading the forums about a month ago....why? Because my wife bought a Z4 M40i....and behold a wealth of knowledge on these forums from the past 3 years about all sorts of performance parts and upgrades. We just installed an Injen Evo intake over the weekend that we got from a buddy who owns a Supra. At some point maybe I will come on these forums to sell it.....

Just to reiterate, there has been many sellers here with very low to no post count that attempts to sell parts, only takes zelle or whatever and ends up being a scam. Scammers will go out of their way to make some money where they can use stock photos of parts or previous photos from other legitimate sellers to sell their parts. You can never be too sure especially when you're dropping $100's on a part. I've been lucky not to be scammed but that is due to a mix of DM"s, text/phone calls and getting pictures from the sellers in real time to ensure that I am making a safe purchase. Any scammer can say that they sell on other forums, websites, etc but as a seller, how do I know that's true? I can't really fact check that, is his name "Supra321" (just using this as an example) on all the forums? If you're a motivated seller, ensuring that you're responsive and giving pictures with your username/date is the best way to ensure that what you're selling is legitimate. It only takes one instance of you getting burned to become very skeptical on every seller.

I already mentioned that I can take PayPal and I also have the intake posted on eBay. You can always return items on eBay and get a full refund. I am not a scam

I am not saying that you're a scam, I'm just saying that buyers are very skeptical especially on here since there was an influx of scammers. I don't mean any offense to you but when several members got scammed already, it is not a surprise that there are many skeptical people on this forum for that reason. I think as a seller, it is important to be cognicent about that.

This response is not necessarily for you (Supra321) but for the @Moderator (hopefully this is the right tag). I know in several other forums I'm a part of, there are specific rules to posting on a "for sale" thread and usually one of those rules are anything posted on any auction website (i.e. Ebay) is against the rules for allowing it to be posted on the forum. I have not read the rules so I apologize if it is posted there.

@Supra123 don't sweat it too much. This forum is one of the most vile, condescending, and just full of snarky folks with attitude I've ever seen. And that's after 20 years running a video game studio. I don't think there are actually moderators here, never seen one. Just blow off/ignore the trolls, they want the attention so don't give it to them. Life is too short to even respond to them.

I have some interest in your intake. I'll send you a PM and do my own due diligence since I don't need the forum nannies' help to make a purchase online as someone whose been doing it for almost 25 years.

This is honestly one of the chillest Forums I've seen lol. Most of my experience at other forums has been this:
