Morning all,
Looking to inject some more noise into the Supra. I’ve already done the OEM exhaust mod, popular here in the UK, but now would like some more intake noise. I’ve never had a turbo car before, always NA (older M cars etc) or more recently Supercharged (F-Type) and hadn’t quite appreciated how much a turbo robs an engine of noise and character. I want to turn off ASD, but then the car will be even quieter.
Been looking at all the different setups. Eventuri appears to be too quiet (and expensive), but also not a fan of the darth vader noises the MST & Armaspeed intakes make. As a guy in my mid 40’s I think the novelty would quickly wear off. Is there a middle ground? Would like more induction noise, but without loud the turbo flutters, waste gate noises etc. Perhaps I can’t have my cake and eat it with a turbo setup. If it helps, I live in the Scotland (UK), so doubt heat sock will be an issue lol.
Is the MST quieter without the optional turbo\inlet pipe? Perhaps that's the way forward? I'm not chasing power, just more noise. Appreciate your input.
