Thank you brother. That’s the one I use. I usually take off my rims and take it to the tire shop and bring it back.
This is what I've always done. Unless it's a daily I don't give a shit about, I don't take my cars to a tire shop directly, usually take wheels and tires in separate car to a shop to have new tires put on, etc.

Inside of the wheels and something that small?

Who cares - a rock or road debris could do that to it...

I would mention it to your friend, It honestly doesn't matter since it is the inside of the wheel. Its the principle that matters, they need to do better....

I'd just tell your friend. At least he will be aware and most likely tell the shop. You never know, that may prompt a fix or solution on their part. However, if say nothing you can be 100% sure to not receive a possible solution.

This is so simple to remedy your future anxiety about mounting tires on wheels…..remove the tires from your car YOURSELF! And go to a place that has TOUCHLESS tire mounting machine, and a TECH that knows how to use it!!

Hey so my friends shop damaged my Te37’s on the inside rim from the tires clamp grabbing, leaving these dimples all across my rims. I know sometimes shit happens and it’s inevitable because they have done an amazing job before but has these happen to you guys before? Is this something I should even care about considering it’s the inside of the rim?

Use Black Magic Marker it will blend in and you will never know. The other option track your car and get some rock chips it will blend in as well. I thought the wheels were dented or scratched up every where this is nothing wheels are a wear item. You can use these for track and get another set of wheels. You can never have enough sets of wheels for different uses.

exactly. I just never seen these before until now. Until I got these rims. I usually used to take the entire car to the shop let them do it. I just personally never noticed these themselves. I was just asking if this is normal.

This is exactly what I did. But they didn’t use the touch less machine LOL.

Man up, and tell your friend. Doesn’t matter if it’s your friend or not….
I think there’s a misunderstanding. I did tell him the minute I got it. I just wouldn’t complain about it or ask for a new wheel because of it.

I told him the first day. Nothing really can be done. But I didn’t ask him for compensation or complained. That’s what I meant when I said I wouldn’t say anything.

Sorry what I meant was. I removed the rims myself. Took it to the tire shop that has a touch less machine and that usually does mine on it but that day they didn’t for some reason.

I've used professional tyre changing machines in the past for motorcycle tyres and I can tell you there's a need to use caution and clean the machine and check the rim clamps before every use. They are not fool proof. I had the front tyres changed on our DD 12 months ago and mentioned to the guy at the tyre shop to please be careful with marking the rims as I'd managed to keep them un rashed for 5 years. He took offense and pointed out that nothing touched the rims on "their machines" assuming I had no idea. Well long story short when I collected the wheels one is paint damaged. I went into the office and pointed out the damage and explained to him this is why I mentioned being careful with my rims. Red faces all around and an offer to repair the damage.
Here's a clue. If the tyre changer looks like a pimply 19 year old kid, the shop is a mess, there's 2 tyre fitters with 3 foot long tyre levers and a sledge hammer trying to break the bead on a truck rim that's on the shop floor 2 meters away from you car, walk away.
It's why I now have one of these for the bike tyres.
