Today was pick up day! Weather was horrible with slick rain and high winds with debris everywhere, but everything worked out!
I asked the dealership to not do any washes. I have my detailer scheduled to come in this week and give it its first bath.

First impressions;
- This bish is a head turner.... I had people slowing down in the fast lane just to take pics on my drive back from the dealership!!! :p
- The car is such an easy manual to drive. Very forgiving. Almost no way to stall it on accident.
- The clutch engagement is super low. Making it easier to get up and go.
- The clutch engagement point is very noticeable. Not a tricky clutch at all.
- Shifting is just so freaking rewarding.... you just wanna keep shifting. IDK what i would do if i wasn't shifting LOL.
- 6th gear at 80 mph requires 3 ~ 3.5k rpm. Not the best for highway drives lol.
- Car turns like it is on rails. No drama at all. Turning radius is great too!
- Steering is on the lighter side. But has enough feedback for a novice driver.
- Interior is much more crammed that i remember in the test drives. But that just adds to the sporty character!
- Sport mode changes the engine characteristic dramatically.
- Normal mode is extremely quiet on the inside. You can barely hear the engine if you have any music on.
- Sound system is 6/10. Not that i ever wanna hear anything else but the engine.

At the dealer's bay. The car had 11 miles on it.

So glad to hear dude. Just wait til you turn off ASD, in normal mode the car is super quiet. Great for those early mornings when you don't wanna piss off the neighbors!

What are your plans for it? Weekend toy? Track weapon? Bit of both?!

First thing I did to mine the weekend I got it home was Tada's sub mod and all the Bimmercode stuff like removing ASD, etc. Then I started installing the mountain of parts I had bought for it.

Now you're like me and waiting for the sunny and warm days to drag it out for no reason, and you start inventing excuses to drive. Today I drove in a huge circuit around the area just to go to a McDonalds like a quarter mile away from my house to get a single small shake.

Isn't ASD only turned on in Sport Mode? I need get rolling on modding using Bimmercode ASAP!!
No too many options here, but I do see some annoying ones that can be fixed.
The auto start stop is a bit weird, tho i could get used to it if it really helps save any fuel.

Summer daily for now ! I don't think ill track it until someone develops a new clutch that can take track abuse ;)

LOL! I parked the car a few hours ago, and I am already thinking silly things to go get from the store!
I am itching to drive the thing!!

BTW, what floor mats are people using on the manual supras?

Welcome to the club brother.

ASD always seemed to be on for me, but it was an early change so I'm not positive here.

Hope winter ends soon, I'm excited over here in MA with a decent rain today, almost 50 tomorrow. Long drive incoming!

I'm waiting on the tuxmats, I've had weather tech and they are great but the tux look to have better coverage

Today was in the high 50s, and I couldn't hold back any more. I grazed 4.5k RPM and nearly ruined the seat :p

Hi Everyone!

Just got my MT Supra the first week of February, and I literally put a deposit down in April 2022 (It was painful almost going through a year without any updates).

I just wanted to let you know that if you do drop a deposit and are looking to buy it for MSRP, make sure they have it in writing before dropping the deposit. I waited ALMOST A WHOLE YEAR for my supra and my dealer was trying to push to pay a markup on it.

Thankfully all texts and phone calls are recorded by my dealer, and they were able to confirm that I was promised MSRP through text, calls, and the deposit that I signed.

Just please be careful, I would hate for anyone to be reeled in by false promises.

I'm using Tuxmats on the Supra, but keep in mind that they weren't redesigned for a third pedal. The clutch pedal does hit the mat. I'm sure there are ways to fix this.

Since I got my A91 in Oct, not sure if they've done a v2 for the mats.

I have the tuxmat on my MT and it does hit the clutch pedal but if you put double sided tape on the dead pedal, it will not hit at all. Highly recommend the mats.

Nice. I’ll give that a shot, thank you.

I do highly recommend the mats. Excellent quality and decently plus for being all weather.

Hm, i was thinking about placing an order for the 3D Maxpider Floor mats, that were posted in the other thread. I feel like those would be a little more low profile than the tuxmats...

The safe bet is probably 3D cause a few people have interference with the tuxmat texture and how they use the clutch. It was mentioned that a shoe size of 10+ may be an issue. I am size 14 and have no issues. I guess I engage and disengage the clutch differently than others.

Not sure if this was discussed previously. While WeatherTech says they don’t have a laser fit mat for the manual transmission cars, the automatic mats fit perfectly. I don’t feel any clutch interference at all, which with the low engagement point, is important. - AB

Reading this thread makes me wonder if my experience was typical. I reached out to my local dealer in January, placed a deposit in the middle of January. I was told I was first on the list. About a week later I get a call saying there's one coming in, only to be told a few hours later someone was in line in front of me and I was sixth in line.

Naturally, I was pretty annoyed being told I was first and a car was allocated, then being told I was sixth and the car I was told was allocated for me was going to someone who had put a deposit on it in September.

At this point I chalked it up to dealer incompetence and braced for a wait that could be months long. Beginning of February I get a call and say they have an allocation that matches my preferences and want to know if I am interested. I say yes, and they say it will be ready for pickup in two days.

Out of curiosity, I look at the car on the website, and the VIN number is the same VIN number of the car they had called me about a few weeks prior that they said was allocated to me before reaching back out to me again later that day to say it was going to someone else ahead of me on the list.

Just makes me wonder if someone passed on the car because they had found one elsewhere. It had a whole nine miles on it, so I doubt it was sold, but it was just an interesting experience.

The day I drove it home, it had been about six weeks from the time I put my deposit down. 2023 3.0 Premium with the manual trans, no markup.

I'm guessing my wait time is much shorter than the average up to this point?

I would say you were lucky. Everyone else probably are waiting for their color choice.
