I sold my JB4 because I couldn't tell any difference in any of the maps. I even kinda sorta tried a custom map. Maybe I just had too high of expectations.
It's crazy what even map 1 on JB4 does in terms of "responsiveness" to the car compared to stock. Just installed my last weekend and have been very pleased with the difference. Everything just feels a lot smoother. Can't wait to experience what a custom JB4 map on the car.
JB4 def had more power than stock it was noticeable but nothing that wowed me the power delivery was also pretty choppy i didnā€™t love it.

Now that my car is on MHD the jump in power and torque is extremely noticeable even over JB4. On 93 oct stage 2 OTS the car drives really smooth and packs a punch i think 450WHP is the sweet spot for this car. I also have a custom E50 tune which took some time to dial in properly but the car is a rocket on the street and i personally donā€™t want anymore power at this point. With ethanol Iā€™m at the functional limit of stock turbo and tran now and Iā€™m not going any further personally but a real tune is the way to go JB4 just doesnā€™t cut it to me.

That's exactly what I heard from another local 2020 supra owner. MHD>JB4 for a more smoother power delivery and happier car overall.
How much more gain do you suspect from E50 over 93 Stage 2 OTS?

On 93 the car makes ballpark 440WHP and 540 WTQ. On E50 the car is at about 510WHP and 580WTQ. The car is significantly faster on ethanol biggest difference is noticeable on the top end it pulls alot harder. Only mods are catless downpipe and armaspeed intake. 600WTQ is limit for stock trans before it starts to slip so E50 is best for those who donā€™t plan on upgrading trans no need to upgrade turbo IMO if you arenā€™t going to upgrade the trans.

540WTQ on 93 sounds incredible!!!
510WHP on E50 would be insane for me top endl! Side note question, at that level, does the car feel stable WOT? Im on stock springs and I feel the car get floaty even at stock power WOT.

Definitely don't disagree with you. JB4 is what it is, a piggy back. The OTS maps on it are meh (still better than nothing tho) but Jesse does good work on customs and has gotten guys in that 450whp/500tq sweet spot range. And since I have a '22 I'm locked up like a chastity belt and don't feel like sending my ECU off to FEMTO yet. Glad to hear the MHD OTS has been a positive experience for you so far! Was honestly the route I was considering once winter hits and will likely be when I sent my ECU off to get unlocked.

Stable yes. Let's be honest tho anything over 100 MPH on a public road is sketchy tho the ethanol tune isn't really necessary I only did it because of a pesky local RS3. You need better tires than the OE Super Sports as well.

Beautiful wheels šŸ¤© What size tires are you going to run and are you going to track her?

We rarely get that down here in SWFL butā€¦ when driving out of State, TampaBay Area is notorious for crazy ass weather. I will usually head for an underpass. Or drive through it just to get out of it faster. That sucks dude! At least you werenā€™t one of those people driving with their hazard lights on šŸ˜‚ Which is illegal in Florida thank gawd. But many still do it šŸ™„
Illegal to drive with hazards on... I did just that thing while driving through a massive rainstorm with horrendous visibility.

Other drivers actually followed my lead and we magically could all see each other (novel concept)

Picked up a (new-to-me) 2019 in yellow the other week, upgrading from my ND1 miata because I wanted more power :p First order of business was cleanup: Removing stickers and the rear Toyota text, bimmercode, dashcam install, wind deflector and hacking in Apple Carplay. It's still got 1.5 years of warranty so I don't want to touch power mods juuuuuuust yet although I'm very tempted to go tune it.

I'm noticing a bit of wheel hop sometimes when flooring it in 1st/2nd in a straight line as the turbo kicks in and the rear tires break traction, depending on the road conditions (significantly more likely to happen in the wet). Would people recommend the SPL rear traction arms to mitigate this? Does it get better or worse with more power? I'm also seeing rear subframe anti-vibration inserts + twisted tuning's diff brace kit (out of stock :() which could help stiffen the rear end up and help it slide smoothly instead of hopping.

Obligatory pic of my car attached, from the drive home after picking it up

SPL parts yes šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ But talk to your dealer 1st. They made mine very uncomfortable. So just some care if you expect/want to do all your service with them.

Yeah, guess we have so many old people down here hazards mean you are in trouble or pulled over, beyond bad weather. We have speed minimums posted for highways. And just so used to driving in major rain. That hail was insane though! Donā€™t see that often šŸ˜…

thatā€™s shocking šŸ˜± Makes me wonder if it just wasnā€™t connecting or something. I can pick any map (custom Jesse being the most fun) and itā€™s night and day with that thing on. I mainly use it to scare passengers. I come back from the track sometimes forgetting to turn it back on. Man it sucks when itā€™s off for that use šŸ˜‚ . Iā€™ve never dynoā€™ed it. But itā€™s that night and dayā€¦

The logs changed, so it was doing something. I was hopeful, as it was definitely the easy button. Like I said, maybe I just had to hive expectations. But, I honestly didn't notice any difference.
