Hi all,

Got my Supra in December with 20k miles on it. It is a 3.0 premium and was completely stock and CPO at the time. I use to be in the VIP style stance scene, where I built a Lexus IS350. I moved away from that and built a 2021 Subaru WRX - had it pro tuned at around 350whp/350tq on flex fuel with all supporting mods. It was my first manual car, and I still miss driving manual to this day.

Why did I buy the Supra?
Well, when I was shopping for a new car, I was between an RS3, Manual M2 Competition, an M340i x-drive, F80 M3. The Supra was never in the picture at the time, I figured at the price-point. My first test drive was a 2018 M2, the N55, and manual. It drove quite well, but it felt a bit underwhelming, I didn't feel comfortable with how I sat in the seat, but perhaps it was because the salesman rushed the test-drive process and never let me fully indulge in the car.

My second test drive was with a 2021 M340i fully-loaded in dravit grey metallic ind. My favorite color actually right now. I can see the difference with the hybrid system here, and I also felt a bit underwhelmed by it also. It didn't feel like a "sports" car. Since I already have a daily, I wanted something I can look forward to driving on the weekends, and have a more sporty, and track-orientated build. Part of the reason I sold the WRX was because I felt as if I could use it as a daily, it didn't give me that unique feel for it.

I started looking at Supras, and my girl was all about a white Supra, and so I kind of just looked at it. I wanted to build something that we could share together, because she has grown for a love of cars just as much as I have. Although I have taught her a bit to learn manual, it was also a quick solution to help her delve into the car scene with an automatic transmission. She is a big supporter in my builds, and is always positive and pushing me to build my cars with passion. It kind of grew on me, and I started to realize it has quite a few perks to it, modern, and the low-end torque on the test drive had me having fun in the car. Not the biggest fan of the burbles, but that will eventually get tuned out when I go E50 and downpipe. I ended up buying the car. I end up not minding not having an automatic transmission anymore, but do want to pick up an older BRZ, Miata or something in manual for the track or canyons down the road.

My first mods:
I started with the AMS performance wind-buffeting kit, essential because cruising on the high-ways or anything above like 50 MPH was undriveable with the windows down. At the same time, I got some Rexpeed carbon Fiber mirror caps because the previous owner nicked the OEM mirror cap, which was the only reason I went with these mirror caps.

I got a good deal on a brand new set of TE37SL Saga in Pressed Graphite on these forums. The specs were 18x9.5 +20 and 18x10.5 +30, with Face 4, and Face 5 concave respectively. I took the old set of Yokohama Advan Apex V601 from my TE37SL from my WRX and threw them on the front, and got some Toyo Proxies R888R in the rear. So, my tire specs became 265/35/18 and 295/30/18. I plan on going 275/35/18 in the front after I go through 2 sets of front tires that I can reuse to save money.

I lowered the car using HKS adjustable lowering springs to keep the stock dampening for now.

My next install was an RK titanium Track edition Exhaust. There were quite a few fitment issues where I had to sand the piping OR slightly hammer it out to make it fit. The exhaust looks great, sounds great, but has a lot of drone for what it is with no mufflers or resonators. I still have the stock down pipe and plan to go to a valved exhaust since I live in California when I go E50 + downpipe. If you are interested in buying this exhaust, let me know.

Installed voltex swan neck at evasive motorsports. I waited about 2 months for it to get to the states so not too bad.

Swapped to HKS coilovers SP IV, and swapped to 18x10.5 squared TE37SL Saga. Running 295/30/18 -> swapping to 295/35/18 RE71RS

Excellent example of an A90 - love the process so far, congrats. Hows the ground clearance on the RK? Have you had an issues bottoming out or anything to note?

Awesome build. I might do something similar on the wheel + tyres setup.

Still deciding on whether to go 19 (255/275) or 18 (275/295) RE71RS

Ground clearance is not terrible on 18s and not slammed (track fitment). It does bottom out and will scrape on some speed bumps, dips, etc if you’re going a smidge too fast for it.

I love the look of 19s but I wanted to do a square setup. Plus, tires are a smidge cheaper, and so are the sets of wheels. 19s you could probably get away with 275/295 depending on your suspension setup.

state referee : modified exhaust, intake.

exhaust is correctable but intake is state ref.
I started my car and that’s all it took lol.

plans to go stock exhaust + catted/Catless after this is all settled.
