If it is a Non-Pro / missing HUD, ill walk away...
If they aren't delivering what you paid for that's fraud, no? If my car was delivered missing anything I'd be defecting it and either walking away or demanding a significant discount. Looks like UK dealers have unlocked a new level of fuckery.

Not really fraud if Toyota doesn't have an order system. You just choose not to sign the documents when the dealer gets their allocation.

Sounds like a severe disconnect regardless.

It’s not that difficult. Here’s our product, do you want it and for how much. All those points should be clear as mud. We’ve all waited X amount of time for our cars. What’s the massive rush to get the docs right and read them over. If any dealer is rushing you along, not clear to their buyers, they shouldn’t be selling cars.

Does this problem ever happen with Tesla?

Hello Sir,
Did you get an update from the dealer?

When ordering I was very specific (GR Supra COUPE 3.0 Pro Manual 3dr) and wanted to know what spec and trim level. They directed me to GR Supra Manual and the salesperson and I went through it On the page it stated that the 6MT Model was, in fact, a model GR Supra, but when I questioned them about it being a pro model, I was told not to worry as that information was out of date and it goes from their stock allocation that was clearly stating a GR Supra Pro Manual.

I pointed out that there was a price difference between the GR Supra (Ā£53495) and the GR Supra Pro (Ā£57495) and that I was quoted for the Pro. So I made them confirm Electric Seats, butt warmer, full leather and HUD (Before seeing your post).

Placed the order, and a few days passed and I got a call to tell me the seats are an Alcantara and Leather mix and no butt warming facilities. To be fair this is not a deal breaker for me as I don't intend to be driving on days that I will be needing it. But from reading your post I am getting worried this is in fact, a non-pro and they are pushing for the Pro Price.

After reading your post I called them back and asked them to confirm Spec and trim. Their paperwork was very light and simply states - GR Supra COUPE 3.0 Pro 3dr. If it is a Non-Pro / missing HUD, ill walk away and look at Naughty Trader. I held out for a Manual but seeing a 2022 car with low mileage at £40k+ it's hard to accept full price and less Spec.
Actually I’m getting annoyed as after several calls, the dealer had not replied. I decided to drive down and put them on the spot and they hadn’t really done much about it so I explained I wanted an exchange or the difference in money back.
Your car sounds like it could be like mine. I paid for the top end pro, but it came with half leather/alcantara seats. No seat heaters and no HUD. Also the sat nav doesn’t work you use CarPlay and apple/google maps.
The seats are also mechanical and no electrics except lumbar support.
I actually wanted electric seats as my lower back is bad and it’s quite tough for me to bed over to manually adjust them.
3 days later I’ll still awaiting an update and the dealer has put in a support request with Toyota UK to see about compensation, but they don’t think much will happen they said!
If/whe they get back to me, I’m going to trading standards (and my wife is a solicitor so it will cost me nothing to send a legal letter either).
Really disappointed with the service and (lack) of support.

to be honest your better off paying for the base model as they will probably charge you for the Pro, then a base model will arrive and they will say ā€˜oh well’…..

to be honest I do t know how they can say it’s just stock allocation. We are buying a product under UK law, it’s shouldn’t be a lucky dip if you get the spec you want.
Actually after starting to write this my blood pressure is starting to bump up just thinking about it….

That bit of signing was may fault as I had jsut returned from offshore work and was really jet lagged so not thinking clearly.

However, the dealer had promised free insurance to get the car home, then on the day couldn't deliver, so I had to stand in the dealership and arrange insurance to allow me to leave. After that I was so tired/stressed out, that once I got hte keys, he only gave me a quick look, then handshake and "see you later". None of the lack of options were pointed out. It wa slitter ally only when i drove the car down the road did I notice hte missing HUD and once i got into my driveway at home I read the manual to find the button for the heated seats button.... surprise surprise.... the rest is history.

Im going to give the dealer until next week, then Il gouge direct to Toyota UK and then trading standards.

I seen the car sitting there, had a quick glance and seen the gearstick and correct colour and assumed the rest was as ordered. Like I say, I hadn't had much sleep as flying home from offshore and wasn't really thinking clearly. Once I seen the car I jsut assumed the smaller details were correct. The dealer actually had the paperwork done in advance digitally so he literally gave me the keys when I arrived and that was it.

Regarding my order, the information on the Toyota App updated today to say the car was on its way to the dealer, and I noticed that it is listed as Model: GR Supra - this is different to what I have on the quotation - it clearly states, NEW Toyota GR Supra Coupe 3.0 Pro 3dr. I fully understand I may be obsessing over this, and without confirmation from someone who has ordered an Auto GR Supra Pro to confirm what information was presented to them, I am left kinda feeling Meh.....

I called the dealer today for an update. I was told that they started a Toyota internal request for assistance on the Model and Trim Spec and that I have indeed ordered a GR Supra Pro MT6 and if I am not happy I am under no obligation to complete the deal. Then came the hard sell - that they have been told by Toyota that Supras are no longer being produced for the UK market and that what is available is the last of the stock allocations. So it is not even possible to order the same car in Auto. When I questioned them regarding the pricing I was told that the quoted price is correct for the car ordered regardless of the Trim Level. It was based on the car being MT6.

Another 3 weeks won't kill me to see that happens. Let's see if this internal request comes back, but I'm not holding out.

Whattt? So like, there will be literally no more factory order Supras in the UK at all from now? (Not just MT?) ?

That's interesting, and it shows what a difference a dealer can make when it comes to setting your mind at ease!

I wonder if there is going to be a facelift or if this is it?
