That's interesting, and it shows what a difference a dealer can make when it comes to setting your mind at ease!

I wonder if there is going to be a facelift or if this is it?
Highly unlikely. Production is suppose to end in a couple years. 2024 model is already announced.

Mind at ease? Are we reading the same thread? This thread is far from putting my mind at ease and I'm not even living in the UK!

So, a little update regarding what I know, direct from the dealer…..

mom working abroad so it’s hard to line up a call, but my local home dealer was very good at digging into the matter for me.
Turns out once the sales man processed the order, it’s goes to the admin dept to actually process it and request the car.

In my case the lady in the back office ordered the wrong model and didn’t order the ‘pro’ spec.
The dealership, sales team and manager did a LOT of digging and offered me a couple of Options:

Keep the car and they refund the difference in price between what I got and the pro.

hand the car back, no hassle and they will order me another.
Noe this is the problem…….
There are a few manual cars left that the dealer can order but are not listed on Toyota uk web site. However, none are yellow…..
Black and white are the only Pro manual cars left and he can’t even get a yellow auto.
It seems Toyota are running down their stock of everything.

He did mention there was a Manual Pro ‘SE’ but he didn’t know what the spec was exactly but the colour option was met white.

Going off my gut instinct tonight for the sake of swapping an interior I would prefer to keep the yellow manual base model I have (and get a refund) as I love yellow and also the manual trans.I’ll have a sleep on it and see what I come up with tomorrow.

it’s always tempting to buy a ‘special edition’ of any rare car but in my case I think a yellow manual will be rare enough now aside from it not being an official ‘special edition’ model.

I fully agree mate. The colour, looks and performance are all there for me. As long as I get a refund, I can live without the nice ‘extras’. It still puts a smile on my face every time I look at it. I guess the refund could go towards some nice performance bolt ons but I’m actually keen to keep it stock as it’s such a lovely car (or I’m showing my age and not wanting to modify it!!)

yes
I think I would stick with it.
My black one isn't a Pro, and I don't think I miss any of the Pro features - it's a drivers car, not a cruiser.
nah, it's both. it can be a drag car if you want it to be too

but same, i'd also keep it @TheangryEngineer. yellow MTs are actually pretty rare too!

I‘m really glad to hear they are offering a resolve. Also incredibly impressed you being a working mom juggling all this stuff! My wife went part time after we had kids and stuff like this (life) is so incredibly time consuming.

We had a late 1990s four door, 5 speed, bare bones ? M3. I wish we never sold that car! I don’t know anyone that would think twice today about the extra creature ”features” it was missing. No quadraphonic sound system with CD ? player ? or who knows what. But I bet if you want to keep this car long term, no one is going to look back for the outdated HUD display or lane assist. They are going to appreciate the B58 engine, hardtop & durability. Same as we do today. I still see S2000s on track and think, wow what a badass car! Not which model it is :)

Happy you are getting sorted.

The Dealership called me and also confirmed that there was a "SE" MT6 in the Mat White available with all the Pro Spec, But from what I have been told the white is hard to maintain. So I have opted to wait for the car to arrive, I have left my deposit in place so all being well, another week or so fingers crossed.

I was told there was a model change that caused a lot of confusion.

The VOT is telling me my supra is in Grimsby, UK getting the final checks... But it's not been updated in the past 30 mins.... (Yes, I know, i should stop watching this thing)....lol

It’s too exciting each day logging in to track the status of the car!
I wonder what additional bits the ‘SE’ adds to the Pro spec.
Sounds a bit like the special edition Matt white that came out in 2019 at launch that had red mirrors and literally only a couple other not so special bits. I remember that one had a tan interior (not my cup of tea) but I think they only releases that interior in SE back then.

There is no matte white with red mirrors. It was absolute zero. The the manual is the special option. You also get a red supra badge.

Putting 2 and 2 together I would imagine the "SE" version is just an abbreviation for the Special Edition manual, with the tan leather interior etc
