Hey y'all. I am stumped.

Out of nowhere my driver's side window on my 22 a91 has started acting up. I believe I hear a little resistance I don't remember so maybe something's just giving out or faulty.

Pushing the switch all the way down allows the window to roll down fully without issue. Holding it or using the automatic mode.

When rolling up however, the window stops with with about 2 inches left and then rolls down about 2/3 of the way.

I thought it was lunch protection but after trying every reset combination I could find from Toyota and bmw I have inconsistent results.

Sometimes it goes all the way up just fine. Other times there is no change. Finally I did have it not respond entirely at one point but then went back to the same issue.

It is possible to get the window all the way up by inching it past the point it auto stops so it doesn't seem there is an actual blockage.

Anyone experience this or have any advice?

Thanks everyone!

Is there a window reset on these cars? On my other cars it is down all the way, continue holding the button 5 sec, then up all the way, continue holding button 5 sec.

Not sure. I've tried different variations of what you mentioned that I've seen posted around with no consistent results.

Weird part is it worked fine while out and about for a while today and then just started up again.

New update. It only happens while I am parked.

Window operates normally while driving.

I’ve finally figured it out, I was having the same issue on my 2.0.

What you need to do:

Make sure the car is fully off and windows rolled all the way up.

Start the car with pedal + ignition(engine running).

Auto roll either both or just the problem window down(you should be left with the window glass still slightly exposed).

Press and hold the window button all the way down and hold for 20 seconds(the exposed glass will disappear in the process).

Pull the window button all the way up, hold until the window is fully closed and continue to hold the button for another 20 seconds whilst the window is closed.

Now auto roll the window down and the issue should be fixed. Also just to note, the first time you roll the window down the glass will be completely hidden. After that you will see the glass but it will be flush with the door frame.

Hope this helps

Tried this several times on my '21. Didn't work. The Passenger side window still sticks up 1/2" after pushing auto down. ?

I've been experiencing an issue with the drivers window on my supra. Intermittently the drivers window will be rolled halfway down after parking. Luckily I havent had anyone steal anything from my car. While i'm waiting for an dealer appointment next week, is there anyone else that has had this issue/recommendations? TIA

So mine eventually resolved itself. I tried everything under the sun in terms of "reset" tricks I found. Taking it to the dealership was no help. They said they could not reproduce which was funny because I reproduced it on the spot when I got there. They were stumped.

I ended up needing the car and after a few weeks or so it just kind of went away. Has been fine since. The only thing I can add is the car did sit for a week in the garage when I left on a work trip. Not sure if this messed with any kind of memory function with the battery but it's the only thing I've got.

My car sat at the dealership for 5 weeks without being started. Everything still worked fine when I picked it up.

My window stopped working. Just the drivers window, passenger side is fine. Not sure what could have caused it. Nothing was removed. But I have the windows tinted
