Looks like a fun day in Julian. Kali’s is a nice spot.
Always fun to :drive: drive up:drive: to Julian with the guys. It was hot though ?

Where was this?
In Julian. We went up through Poway.

Personally, I think taking the I-8E up through Sunrise Hwy is better. More open road, not as much traffic, and it's the scenic route?.

Damn lucky. Our track season north of you ends in September.
I would've liked to go sooner, but these tend to be the hotter months. Hoping it's a relatively cool day when I go.

Also, I didn't realize people book the cabins at the track this early. I'll probably have to try and book 4 months out next time lol. It's going to be a long day unless I book a hotel near the track.

Almost done with my tire trailer. I test strapped them and everything seems super secure. I think I'll add a rear cross bar for extra insurance but leave the front open for ease of access unless I can figure out an easy way to make a front bar that can be locked and unlocked into place.

Yep, soon he’ll be getting a Verus washer fluid cap for all that hard cornering to and from the grocery store.
Got one of those and dropped .25/sec a lap at the track!!

cool. I would change the pvc bars to metal. plumbing black pipe or elec conduit is cheap at HD. But the pvc will break in a hard brake.

I want one! We always had a SUV when the kids were little when we tracked. Thus thru em in the SUV. Now that the kids can drive, we told ourselves we’d never buy a SUV again ? Now we’re going to put a hitch on her VW GTI ? after I showed her your pic. She agreed!

Also some cotter pins or something of the like to prevent the bars from possibly slipping out while moving.
