So, ive had this "restraint system" message on my screen for a few weeks now. This message also comes with an airbag, and seatbelt light on the dash. Now ive seen a good amount of people with either "passenger" or "driver" restraint errors, but this one is just a general "restraint" message... anyone else ever go through this problem?

All my wires and connections under the seats with those yellow sensors all look good, so not sure what else it could be. I can code them out with bm3, but they continue to come back after about a day or so.

Did you check the actual seat belt tensioner. There is a wire on them when the airbag goes off it actually l locks the tensioner on the belt. It is not something that should come off and you have to remove the plastic interior covers to get to where it connects. Something to look at as I think that is what it is what it referring to.

No desire to take it to the dealer?
If his car has been modified at all, I’d stay away from any dealer like the plague. I’d recommend a good coder with Techstream or similar software to see what’s going on & work with your mechanic that did your current mods.

I'll try looking into that when i get a chance. Is there any particular reason it could have all the sudden come up out of nowhere? Car has never been bumped pr anything.
I have noticed, even when that code is displayed, the seatbelt still gets tight when pulled on abruptly. So i can feel the pretensioner still doing its job, despite that code being on.

The car is pure800, bagged, tuned, and widebodied... I do not think the dealer would appreciate that car coming in for a diag.
I also dont know what they might do, ECU wise, as far as locking it up or anything
