I've had the Blackvue DR900X-2CH LTE GL before and it worked well. The only issue I had was that it didn't record for long enough when I parked it for a week long trip.

I've read that the U3000 (with battery) with Radar Parking Mode can last fairly long. Anyone have experience with this camera?

I have this one without battery. Mine is connected to the OBD port as a power source. It works extremely well and I get around 12 motion-detected recordings while in parking mode. Ill post pictures of how mine is setup later

Thanks. What is the longest you've ever left it running?

While in parking mode, probably like 3 days. The dash cam is programed to stop recording in parking mode after a certain amount of voltage is consumed; this is to ensure that it doesn't drain your car battery. I think the dashcam could prob record for 4 days straight while parked.

Just to clarify, the dashcam doesn't constantly record while in parking mode. It is just in a low power state with the radar sensor being active the entire time. When the radar sensor detects motion outside your car it will start recording for about 2-3 minutes then power down to the low power state again. So the amount of days the dashcam will last while parked just depends on how many motion detected recordings it has to do

Not what you were asking, and I'm not sure if anyone had the same experience with the install for this, but I could not get the rear camera cable thru the holes in the trunk lid that most people are using (as per the dash cam install thread) as the U3000 rear cable is thicker than previous models.

I had to cut it in half and re-solder it back together.

I experienced the same thing with my installation but with thinkware U1000. I didn't have to cut it in half and re-solder it. I used zip ties and electrical tape to get it through - it took a bit of time to get it through.

I have the BlackVue DR970x-2CH 4K UHD LTE dash cam & the Power Magic Ultra Battery B-130x. The longest I've let it sit & had full parking mode recording active was about a week.

I've had BlackVue dash cameras in all my cars since 2015, and they've more than paid for themselves.
