Hi, I bought a previously repaired (half repaired) 2021 Supra 2.0 Automatic. The car was rear ended so the tailgate was replaced with another used one, however, the body shop that did the repair did not took the time to dissasemble the original tailgate properly (with harness), so they cut off all the wires that connect underneath the headliner including the antenna wires without marking down the correct wire to reconnect to. When they installed the replacement tailgate, the shop did not know the correct placement of the antenna wires (6 black antenna wires) so they just guessed and put together the wires without knowing where exactly they went since they are all black and look exactly the same. So I am getting the Emergency Call system malfunction everytime I start the car and GPS is not working (showing last location of vehicle of the shop it went too and Supra app nor navigation is not working). I have searched everywhere for a schematic of the wiring diagram for these antennas to see which antenna goes to which module and to have the antenna connector colors. I have only found pictures of the modules but no wiring information at all. If anyone can help would be greatly appreciated since I need to pass the Department of vehicles inspection and my mileage is not showing on the dash because the Emergency call system warning is there all the time. I have attached a few pics of the modules I know the antenna wires connect to and where the wires from the tailgate. I have dissasembled the radio head unit to trace the wires but some of the colors are not the same and not easily traceable. I am currently getting bimmerlink codes:

Headunit High - B7F8B4 - Connection of head unit to SDARS antenna base: line interruption
Telematics communication - B7F317 - GPS antenna :short circuit to ground
Instrument Panel- E12C4D - DSC interface (lane slope, 0x163): signal invalid.

I currently have the toyota TIS software but found out I need Toyota ISTA to work on the supra and cannot find that anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated sorry for the long post.

Thanks!

Hi,

I can only follow your topic, but no idea.

I bought my 2022 3.0 premium in USA, and moved to Europe later... I have to transfer the tail light and somehow fix the eCall communication issue. (my car need an EU account and a roaming SIM)
Let's say Toyota / BMW doesn't like the idea of replacing SIM card/communication module can fix my case :D

"A US vehicle can't be converted to an ECE (Europe) vehicle! A US vehicle is always a US vehicle! This is specified in the software and coding! The hardware and SW!!! is different. The vehicle would have to be completely converted. Therefore not provided by Toyota (and BMW)! As an example: An ECE SIM card with an ECE account is required for the e-call. There is a US SIM in the vehicle, so it can't work. Just replacing HW parts doesn't change anything!"

will see.

Good luck to us... :)

Hello,
Was wondering if you figured out the wiring because I had to replace the trunk as well, cut the wires and now I don’t know which one goes where ? any help would be great

Hello, yes I did, I did my research and ended up buying all the trunk harness separately, there are 5 or 6 wires depending in your vehicle, I just checked which color went to where and bought a coupling kit to weld up each of the original wires (I could not find the wires at the time and dealer was not helpful because the supra diagram is very naive at the dealer, so that so it was my only option then) so I did not actually installed the new wires and still have them brand new. I paid over $360 but I can sell them cheaper if you want them let me know, thanks.

NOT SURE HOW LONG THIS HAS BEEN UP, JUST NOW SAW THIS THREAD. I TOO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER REPLACINGMY REAR DECK LID. I HAVE BEEN WRESTLINM G WITH THOSE WIRES AND FAKRA CONNECGTORS FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS. I HAVE FINALLY GOTTEN EVERYTHING CONNECTED TO THE CORRECT COMPONENT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FM2 ANTENNA. SO IF 1 IS INCORRECT THAT MEANS 2 ARE INCORRECT. BUT I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF FIGURE WHICH 2 . EVERYTHING WORKS, BUcould T THE RADIO RECEPTION IS A LITTLE WEAK, CODE COMING UP ARE :
1. HU connection to aerial amplifier line. FM2 aerial.
2. FM 2 antenna line disconnect.
everything else works perfectly. i can post all the connections that are correct if anyone needs them. but im stumped on the FM 2 thing.

Roloz89 if you purchased the repair module kits ? could you possibly post pics of the connectors for each on. i have the cable but have not purchased the kits. if i knew which connector colors went together i can solve my problem once and for all. i can then post the complete proper configuration for anyone that needs it. any and alll help is appreciated. thanks

Hello,

I donā€˜t know jack about wiring. But I do know a guy on track shut his telecom control unit (TCU) off. I asked about some dash lights and if they were from installing a seat ?. He said it had nothing to do with the seat and went on to explain how he didn’t want the car to call emergency services (SOS) if on track and wrecks or something like that. That stuck out because I was genuinely curious about it, like your post.

Regardless, try bimmerpost to find out more. They have a lot more info on this stuff since many of these parts are used across the BMW line, not just our Z4 variant. Here’s what I found w/out going too far with it:

Iā€˜d research each module and work backwards. How to replace the battery or anything that has to do with each unit. You should find wiring diagrams for each. Worse case, if you still canā€˜t figure it out, you’ll end up finding a good independent BMW mechanic. Someone that can identify, fix & do it quickly and inexpensively would be my go to after that ;)
