Yo!

Just copped a 24' supra. Here I practiced turning the wheel as far as possible and stepping on the gas, nothing too crazy. Everything is stock.
Curious about the front wheels, there seems to be a tiny bit of camber when the steering wheel is fully turned - is this normal?

Any advice for someone who wants to pick up drifting? I know I need to pickup more speed before a turn but would anyone recommend new parts or techniques to make it easier for a rookie?

Nice color :)

Yes it is normal in most cars on full lock to see that camber.

Have you tried turning off vsc/traction control ?

(Perhaps don't do it on the road until you're comfortable) but to practise and feel where the traction goes playing around in the parking lot and perhaps go to a drift school or any sort of track day/driver course for starters.

I haven't drifted my car yet, but have done my fair share of power slides lol... I heard the e-diff doesn't love drifting. is that true? May not go full lock easily enough.

2.0 doesn't have any kind of limited-slip, so drifting is gonna be kind of a no-go :dunno:

oof, I couldn't imagine my car without the LSD. feels like its on rails in a hairpin.
That's the revised version 3 (2023+) diff tuning in action! In comparison, a 2020 would feel pretty sketch on that same hairpin..

First, don't video yourself committing a crime. And if you do video it, don't post on a public forum announcing to the world that you committed a crime and you have video evidence of it. Unless you own that lot, some poor bastard paid to have all those white lines painted. What's harmless fun for you is ruining someone's well manicured parking lot.

Next, you are looking to get the back wheels to break traction. A locked diff helps because the inside wheel will be forced to spin as fast as the outside wheel which will cause it to slip. Once 1 tire slips the backend doesn't have as much grip as the front and out comes the back end for an adventure. Excessive power is another option to get the tire to spin but you have to have traction control turned off. TC doesn't realize you're playing a game and will cut power (via the brake iirc) in the vain attempt to save your life. Third option is the emergency break. This causes the back wheels to lock which means they'll have less grip than the front and out comes the backend for another walk about. Our cars have a stupid electronic parking brake which limits the fun factor for this approach.

TC is awesome by the way, never ever turn it off unless your playing around like this. TC probably saved as many lives as safety glass and crumple zones with the added bonus of preventing the crash in the first place.

I'm not too familiar with differentials, but according to toyota the 2024 gr supra has an electronically controlled rear differential. Very sweet graphic here! If this is LSD or open or closed beats me
