Hi all. I have a '21 Supra (had it for 3 months so far) and yesterday when I got in, I received a "check brake fluid" message. I then clicked on the physical menu button in the center console to pull up the my car on the infotainment and the menu button stayed in the 'down' position. it almost feels/looks like it's locked down and I was wondering if I broke the damn thing or if it's locked for some reason. I know this is a weird question but thought I'd see if anyone had info on this.

Blast it with electronics cleaner.
Do you think that would work? I have a couple sticky buttons in my BMW from the PO and wasn't sure how to fix it.

I spilled redbull on my sport button when hard braking for a deer. I attemped to disassemble the console, but it wasn't quite so easy.

Used a can of electronics cleaner and went to town. Works fine and doesn't feel sticky.

I've been really careful with it because in my 320i, I did that, got gunk on the volume control and it got sticky... I'm not saying that's not what happened just a weird coincidence. I'll give the cleaner route a try though. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't some insane "hey until you get this warning fixed we're locking a button to drive you insane" feature this car has that my bmw doesn't.

Yeah, I gave this a shot and no dice. When I had a similar incident with my bmw, they tried to charge me $600 but I told them to pound sand. That was a few years ago though, I'm scared to even think what they'll want to try and charge if I ask about this incident...

Is it the actual MENU button or the dial that is stuck or goofed up?

Unfortunately it doesn't look like you're going to fair well cause that whole thing is one unit like I figured it would be.

Could try to see if any dealers might sell it slightly cheaper but probably not

I daily my 2020 although I drive less than 10 miles everyday as I have a small commute. 4.5 years after ownership all of a sudden the select button on the main scroll wheel stops working. I tried a couple of times and realized that it won't work until I pressed a bit harder than usual. Did a lot of testing on the button in various positions and it still works only when I press harder. Sometimes takes 3-4 tries to select an option and it's getting annoying. I'm thinking about opening the center console and trying to repair what's wrong.

Did you guys figure out an easier fix for this?
