Supra start up

I have a concern , sorry if i mess anything up i’m new to the forums but do you know when you start up a car there’s like a build up and it starts like aggressively like i have a downpipe and it’s supposed to be loud but after idling one time for a lil while it starts up soft it’s more of a ick instead of an issue and if someone knows any fix’s please let me know because i’m tweaking

I uh... Hmm. I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but I'm guessing you're referring to cold start?

Cold start is to help the car warm up, so it idles higher. The car is going to do what it's programmed to do there.

If you're talking about Startup Roar, that happens when the car is warm if you start it in sport mode.

it’s like hard to explain , i’m heavily particular when it comes to cars and notice every change to it, I idled it for a long time because i was chilling sunday and monday when i did the cold start it wasn’t as loud anymore , the start up sounded weak and the build up to the ignition was also weak

A true cold start will be a bit louder because the engine speed starts at an elevated level for a period of time. A warm startup does not require the higher revs. That's true even with my 2008 MX5.

True cold start - nice deep sound and high revs. Exhaust valve is closed until the engine has warmed up and after sport mode has been activated.

Warm start - exhaust valve can be open and therefore create a more exhilarating start up with pops and bangs momentarily.

What can you do to get that exhaust valve open during cold start? Drive around. Place the car in sport mode. Head to the trunk with car on. Pull the exhaust valve fuse. This will make your cold starts loud AF because the flap with always be open.
