Hello everyone looking for some answers about the Supra I just bought and why my dash looks different than others I see. It’s a 2020 Supra originally from Canada and most I see are in the US but I have a Km/h in the bottom left side and a red line. All the ones I have seen don’t have these things. I looked to remove them but couldn’t find anything.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

There definitely is an option in BimmerCode to remove it.

Sorry for being a newbie So it has nothing to do with the car being from Canada ? If I buy a Bimmercode device would I be able to reset it back to factory settings and then start over programming what I want ? I am not sure what the previous owner programmed as I bought it from a Toyota dealership used and that’s the way it came. Thank you again for your help

I would see if any members around you have an OBDlink MX+ module they could lend you to change it. Not really worth the $90+ dollars for just for a KPH/MPH change.

Or take it back to the dealership and tell them to code it over to MPH. They can do it too.

It has MPH above it which looks to be factory. I am just trying to remove the KP/h and the red line so it looks like factory. I found a stock picture online to show the difference. I would buy the OBDlink MX+ If this will fix it.

Maybe an option in Bimmercode to remove it?

Not a fan on bringing old threads back to life, but does anyone know in Bimmercode where to remove the second Speedo like the OP had?

I've tried every word combination possible trying to Google this answer. I'm sure I'm just looking right at it and not realizing it.

Thank you all in advance!

I'm not sure exactly where it is but I'd have to plug in my OBDLink CX tomorrow to let you know. However, I do know that in Bimmercode, opening up your car in-app as a Z4 offers considerably more options to adjust settings. It may be in either of the configuration settings.

I completely forgot about the Z4 settings side. I'll look after work.

It's just annoying, more than anything. If you get a chance tomorrow to find it I would be very appreciative!

Do you also have a previously Canadian model? I don't know where to find it in bimmercode, but its not likely a remove extra speed option, it's probably more to do with setting the default speed units in the cluster. The reason it's probably there is that the default is Km/h and it always has to display that (for legal reasons I'm guessing) and mph is showing as a secondary. If the default is MPH it wouldn't be required to show the second speed display.

In the ME spec cars, it's a simple toggle (where MPH is on the bottom, and KPH is on top) in the regular settings. I'm not sure if that's available in the NA but it might be.

Searching the forums is your friend. It's outlined in this thread:

https://www.supramkv.com/threads/supra-coding-step-by-step.2866/page-10
I appreciate the reply, I had gone through that thread before I made the post, sadly, I am just missing it, but Search did lead me here. In the thread linked above, these two posts are exactly what I am after:

@Guff were you able to find anything under the Instrument Panel options? I turned on the MPH on the mini-computer board and it worked but it looks redundant to see the speed twice. I did like the bar above it as a guide to divide the gas tank in half for quick reference.
I wouldn't mind seeing some other sort of info there such as digital temp or digital tach. Have you come across anything?

And @Guff replied
Haven't dived too deep into it but I'll look at more of the options later

And that is why I brought this post back to life, I am sure I am just missing it.

This car has lived its entire life in FL, but I did find this on changing the county code: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/supra-coding-step-by-step.2866/post-130038

I appreciate all the replies... Hopefully someone knows the answer.

My car was Canadian originally, eh, and I no longer notice the kph value in the bottom of the screen. However, I’d gladly code it out with Bimmer Code if someone can share how!
