Also what I did, AWE Exhaust + Catless DP got me a ticket. Sold the exhaust kept the DP then got femto unlocked
I wonder if anybody has ever tested the limits of the stock exhaust. That would make for an interesting experiment.

You missed option #4, the most logical. Move out of CA.
i know this is a shit option as I’m stuck in my state which is actively adopting CA bs policies. Fucking political cancer I tell you what. I couldn’t take it anymore and said fuck it and went with an out of state llc and moved my vehicles into it. Best thing I ever did and I don’t care if people hate

I think the only restrictions are near the oem resonators. Although, any downpipes that taper down to the OEM dimensions are still technically restricting.

I’ve thought about this as well. I’ve heard of some people still getting a hard time by cops, but I guess it would have to be some cop on a power trip or having a bad way.

You earlier this year: "I would break that splitter in a heartbeat"
Me: Splitter ejected itself after 1 track day. :d
I need two emojis. Sad and laugh

As if bad cops are only in 1 place in the USA lol. The drama on this thread is hilarious actually.

Why would I be upset that a tax that specifically targeted ICE drivers is being changed to be applicable to all people who use public roads? Tesla drivers are putting just as much wear and tear on the roads as I am.
Because you know they wont remove the existing gas tax at the pump. Double tax me harder baby

Did you read the article? You would choose which tax, and ironically might even pay less than gas tax lol.

Ya i wont believe it until i see it. California has this odd way of fucking everyone over, its why i left that god awful place

Look they wanted everyone to go green with solar and now PG&E is mad because people with solar arent paying them. So they are trying to pass this shit now. A fee ONTOP of usage.

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/10/...t/california-electric-bills-fixed-charge.html

Luckily its been shelved for the year, but this is the shit you cant trust them on. It will come back next bill session i bet. California will make it more expensive before it ever gets cheaper. Same goes for Fuel

That’s the direction I’m going in as we speak. About to take off my mint condition ARK DT-S exhaust in order to put back on the oem. I’m going to use the money I get back from the sale of the ARK exhaust to unlock with Fenton. Better than looking over my shoulder everywhere I drive due to the burn exhaust tips.
Haha, I was pretty paranoid as well with burnt tips, but I've had my exhaust on for a couple years now and it's been fine. My car is still quiet in normal mode.

Going green is beneficial for a variety of reasons. Outside of performance, the average commuter doesn't need ICE. I'd have gotten an EV for my daily if they weren't more expensive than what I eventually got.

I've never read anything about Solar affecting PG&E, and even then that's private corporation's doing. Seems like people love to blame the generic "California" for problems that are just the result of plain old capitalism and corporate profits. Things will likely never get cheaper. Capitalism is based on supply and demand and more EVs = more demand for electricity.
