Yes, but just so we are clear, an “S” motor from a B57 is completely different than a “S” motor from a B58.
Yes, but just so we are clear, that is completely irrelevant to his question if any other motor has ended with 'S'

Development times nowadays are super quick....especially in motorsports. Shops have prototyping tools at hand in-house.

This was AMS Performance 9yrs ago:

I'm aware of that but I'm talking about the B58 in general since it's been out for a while several years now.

No need to argue guys haha. I was just checking if bmw had an engine with the “s” to compare it to the regular engine to see what the “s” might entail for the b58

Thanks for teaching me about BMWs, I don't know anything about them
I wasn’t teaching anyone anything....especially not you Mr. SmartAss. Man, no wonder your posts always start beef with everyone. Your a total d**k.

Oh yeah, almost forgot .

But it’s only been available in “plain” sedans from BMW up til’ recent. Alot of the aftermarket focuses on relevant nameplates (i.e., GTR, Supra, etc...). I think if the B58 came in more “relevant” cars, the aftermarket would have been all over them right now.

However, I do wonder if some shops will go after the X5 B58’s for early modeling? Hmmm...

That would be the problem since it's essentially a "BMW". GReddy doesn't have anything and HKS has just an exhaust and BOV for BMW's.

3 years should have been enough time to develop aftermarket parts. You referenced AMS and it took them a while to finally build the Alpha Omega GTR. With the GT86, many of the Japanese companies were throwing elbows to take pictures and measurements on the pre-production FT86 III model so that they can start the R&D process and be ahead of the game.

It's funny how that guys Rev Match dude reference FnF for the reason why the MKIV had so many aftermarket support @ 8:50. It already had plenty of support before the movie even came out.

More proof to show how underrated the B58 is from factory. This 335hp version is actually putting down 372 BHP on a conservative Dyno Dynamics dyno. Simple stage 1 tune bumps it to 441.

https://www.bimmerboost.com/content...ge-1-tune-results-show-372-hp-stock-441-tuned
I am not shooting the messenger when I say this but how did they prove bhp when the dyno is taken to the wheels? The just added a random correction % to make their claim. The curves don't cross at 5252 and they don't cross in the same spot showing they used different corrections in each dyno.

Even though I also believe the B58 is underrated from factory, their claim is BS until they pull the engine and dyno it there.

Yeah I saw and understand that, but Evolve is a pretty well known AND reputable shop in Europe, their dyno number are usually pretty reliable when compared to similar cars dyno'd elsewhere Don't believe that then just click the other link in that same thread where BMS dyno'd a B58 at 331hp at the wheels.
