Ill try to keep this short as possible. I Have owned , 1100HP Gtrs, 800hp TT 01-Z06, 06 s/c Z06, C7 Supercharged Z , and other fast cars ( I am 52 btw) About 2 years ago I purchased a standard C8 ..after a year I traded the car for a plaid wanted to feel that low 9s @ 151+ 1/4 power again... After driving the plaid for exactly 1 year I got super bored with the "no soul" feeling ( its true it exists lol) ... I ended up getting a great deal on a 23 Z06 and that car is one of the best cars I have ever owned stock.. Just for the record I am over the 1000HP headaches.. My target is 600-700HP fun fast street car I call them.
So I decided to sell the plaid and get a turbo car and it had to be a manual. I really like the way the supra looked and without ever driving one I ordered on from NC at sticker 68,124$ 45th. MB 6speed.
This might trigger some people.. When I received the car It felt like a Camry with a 6 speed... I was pissed .. No power , handling was odd .. you could not hear the turbo at ALL! heck you could not hear the exhaust at all SUPER quiet!. with the windows down it felt like a 4 door car when someone rolls down the windows and the whole car vibrates like a twister is running through my ears I said great now I have to drive this car with the windows up??? ...I was like damn now I have to sell this pig...
Woke up in the morning and stopped acting like a bitch and regrouped call A local supra owner here Thomas with the blue supra ( debt ) and he was like bro you need to get full exhaust intake , DPs and then tune ! it will be a different car! I also spoke to Viscontti and he was like Sam... do you remember your GTR when it was it was stock? it was a turd .. no soul.. Supras Need Love and MODS to be an incredible machine.
took my ass down to speed industry and had Them install HKS HI-POWER exhaust , CG catted DPs and Armaspeed intake .. Thomas hooked me up with the install ( big shout out to him he is the man ) car has 77 miles on it.
Holy shit ! the car was a complete 180 .. Super fun to drive , sounds amazing , I can hear the turbos and quickly jumped from a 3 to 7 on scale like the car . I will be sending in the computer to get unlocked and will run e50 and tune hopefully around 530-550whp. Then it will be the perfect daily Fun fast street car.
Oh and speed industry is like you need these side mirror wind deflectors to eliminate the turbulence with the windows down ! Installed them and boom no more turbulence ! As far as the handling I had the auto correct assist on and it kept pulling my steering wheel ( turned that shit off and boom handles perfect ) man I am smiling.
The moral of the story is know that some cars are "Ok" stock , the real fun is putting the right mods making it a bad ass car!!
I am super stoked about driving especially when its tuned!
