I know we are debatiing a moot point here but having owned 2 x F87 an OG and a Comp, I'd choose the A90 99% of the time. I have tracked all 3 and much prefer the way the Supra feels and rotate. Even as an auto, it is an engaging car and you can tell it is lighter than the F87 chassis. The BMW has it's merits like the two back seats and maybe softer overall ride but for pure driving pleasure the A90 is definitely where it's at.

Man do we really gotta troll people on every thread?? ?

Actual answer - Its a sideways jump at best. I freakin love the M2 Comp. The best M car I have ever driven (and I have driven nearly all of them). Just doesn't seem worth it unless you just prefer the B58 or Supra's looks, or you gotta have the MT - it is better than any BMW shifter.

Drive one and you'll see what I mean.
Facts not hype. The shifter in the MKV is better than the old rubbery BMW’s prior. I’ve even heard it’s better than the G87 shifter which would be considered new.

So upon further research, this car brand new has a sticker of $61,624. The used one was looking at is priced at $63,988 (1300 miles on it).

Then I found ANOTHER new 2024 Supra with a $7500 dealer adjustment.

Man, fuck these SoCal dealers.

longo Toyota has no markups. Just a long lead time.

I think John elway Toyota has no markups either but you have to live within a certain distance of them, which you may be close enough.

I live in So Cal and have shipped my vehicles the last 7 years. Google and the internet is your friend. Find a dealer across the country who has no markup, pay $900 to ship across country, wait a week for delivery, and you can thank yourself later.

I was shopping for BMWs when I found this Supra. Feel your pain. It’s definitely a personal preference. I didn’t need the back seats and was thinking more track oriented, better price, lighter weight, the list goes on.

Dealers in FL are very similar. A friend is getting his from PA and shipping it down here (for MSRP). Blue, MT, beige interior, picky bastard like me. I had to do the same for phantom (grey) with red interior. If you decide to go that route, shipping one to your door (or close to it) is a fantastic experience! Plus you get to reward good dealer practice and not bad ones. Throw in the free track day ?? and I doubt you’ll look back missing the other car. It’s just a different feel all together.

Looks like you may be keeping the Bimmer or may be on the fence. Hard to justify rationally making the change. If you like the Supra, get it as long as it makes financial sense for you. You will lose practicality. Visibility isn't great. it's a great car though. But so is your BMW. I would take my time and try to get a decent price since you already have a great car. But, yeah, try to drive one first. Good luck!

Join No Mark UP Toyota on FB, past week I've seen 3 manual Supras at MSRP. Not in SoCal, but shipping is 1500-2500s, so better than markups.

Just sell the F87 M2 and get one of these with a manual transmission. That's what I decided to do. I still might pick up a MKV manual at some point because I've decided to buy a few different manual transmission cars to start a small fleet. I'm a diehard fan of manual transmission cars and these things are starting to disappear quickly.

I dunno. It has grown on me and in real life I think it looks better. It's not the prettiest thing in the world but its kind of tough, in its own way.
