Man I’m hoping the cool, calm and collected Max shows up for this one, Perez doesn’t crash, (finishes in the top 10), and McLaren at 2nd & 3rd.

Don't know what McLaren did to that car, but damn. This championship is going to the last race.

So true! Max is getting everything he can out of that RB. Christian needs to do his part now. They are lucky enough Max didn’t go to Mercedes. They have to get that car up to speed!!!

Great work by Lando & Charles. I can’t wait to see if Max and team RB can hold on to their current lead. The way McLaren is going, I don’t know if it’s possible. Eight races left…. ? ?‍?

Wind at Zandvoort looks crazy, shaping up for an interesting weekend.

Also, Jack Doohan to Alpine...
I was lucky enough to meet his dad at Laguna Seca one year while he was getting ready to race a vintage motorcycle event leading up to the 2011 MotoGP race that year. He was very nice and didn’t mind shooting the breeze with a couple fans.

Bunch of humble guys post race conference. Nice to see. It’s definitely going to be a nail biter all the way to the end.

Don’t know if any of y‘all track. But that looked like one of the sickest circuits I’ve ever seen. I’d love to rent a ride and drive on that bad boi someday! What a freaking roller coaster ?

It's hard to say what is happening with RB, hard to believe that McLaren's development has surpassed them so quickly this season. There are all these rumors or conspiracy theories that RB had something that was against the rules on their car earlier this season and rather than some big public lashing the FIA just told them to remove it and that has hindered their performance.

The other rumor is that the RB car they currently have has basically met the top of it's performance ceiling and other teams have a higher ceiling of development if they can reach them.

What's more likely is the loss of Newey and the lowest amount of wind tunnel access is finally bringing that car back to the rest of the pack.

The last little rumor that I heard is that Max actually backed off a bit in that race to make the gap so much greater in order to use as ammunition with the RB team to get their shit together.

There is a good probability that McLaren catches RB in the constructors title, but I'm still thinking Max has enough of a lead to pull off the drivers championship. I think it'll be very close, might not be decided until the last race or two. But this is just good for the sport, no fan outside of Max/RB wanted a repeat of last season and to a lesser extent the year prior.

It would be nice if there was another team up there fighting, but it seems like Ferrari and Mercedes are taking turns on who is the third best team on the grid.

I fully expect both Ferrari drivers to be on the podium this weekend. I think they're pulling all stops to make their car a rocket ship for their home race.

I like the banked corners...but it's too narrow of a track I feel for a lot of passing to happen. Definitely not the worst track (cough Monaco cough) but it's not really the track that I feel is the best on the calendar. It's also a major pain when there is any crashes or dead cars as there aren't many access roads so they have to crane the cars out of the way.

I find it ironic that the last time Red Bull built a dominate car their dominance lasted 4 years. This looks kinda similar to me. As far as the car being on the top of it's performance window, Newey alluded to that and I can see it too. (as a fan watching on TV nothing more)

They did have the asymmetrical braking system taken off their cars, no penalty of course, just have to remove it. There could have been other pieces of illegal tech they had to remove as well but they're keeping quiet about it for sure. IIRC it took a couple years before we really got to hear all the details of Ferrari's fuel metering system from 2019. So it may be some time before we see what got taken off the RB.

Oh and for Max sandbagging, yea that was obvious!

Have a younger friend who is a bigger Lando Norris fan than me, I'm actually McLaren fan first and then drivers. Anyway, for some reason he is certain that Lando will win the drivers championship. I tried to explain just how big of a gap 70 points is between drivers, how there is only 9 races left, and that Max has done a pretty decent job over the season in getting the most out of every weekend.

So I told him we should make it interesting, if I Max wins the championship he has to buy me a nice bottle of booze, and if Lando wins I'll buy him a nice bottle. Either way I'll win as I'll either have a nice bottle of booze or my favorite driver winning the drivers championship.

I meant just for me. Being selfish. Looks like so much damn fun ?

I’d like to think that as well. I heard Lando scoff off a reporter when asked about the driver’s championship. Something to the fact that it’s Max you’re talking about. Like duh, are you kidding, was the look. It appears to be McLaren’s to loose at this point. But it’s the Max factor Lando was eluding to. He said there aren’t enough points left and Max would have to drop off drastically.

I’ll also add Lando is growing on me - being the smart ass he is with questions. He’ll say something is so stupid to be asking it in the 1st place, then answer the question. Love it ?
