P0118 coolant temperature sensor 1 circuit high

My check engine light went on about a week or so ago. I ran the code and it shows p0118. I ordered part number 89422-WAA02 and replaced it. Temperature gauge still fluctuating from low, normal, to hot. No coolant leak and coolant levels are normal. Is there another part I need? I have a 2023 Supra 3.0. Mechanic told me it could be another sensor located on the engine.

Yeah, a rat chewed through the wiring unfortunately. Had to get it fixed by my mechanic!
