Oh that’s right! I forget your 2020 production G series Supra is vastly different from a F series, which ended production in 2018-19. Not to mention brake fade compensation has been around since the later model E series.

It's late in the PNW track season (big life events kept me busy for a while), but finally getting the Supra out for a track day tomorrow at the Ridge. First time on 200TWs now that I have the GRC to handle shitty weather like the rainy track day in June.

Hey how is this and the seatbelt tensioner holding up? Interested in buying this ridiculous thing XD Also did you get the small car size version or the regular for the angle wings?

Great repost Levophed. That was back on like page 30 something, lol. I forgot about these things. My seatbelt pretensioners work well. But I still have to jack the seat back & then scoot forward to get extra tight. And even then, sometimes it just gets loose during a session.

Either one of y’all got a link for that snuggly foam booster seat wedge thing? Also wondering if you can still brace yourself with your left knee. I’m currently using a knee pad and able to hold myself in place. Not sure if this would be better. The more I‘m thinking about it…. it’s just another bandaid before doing the inevitable… a proper race seat.

Yes it’s direct fit. G2x rear diff bushing is the same as the F8x/G8x. They don’t make front bushings as of yet.

I supplied another manufacture with measurements, don’t know when they might make them. My front mounts were fine, I just filled the voids with urethane for the time being.

Tire question. Running 19" x 9.5 +27 and 19" x 10.5" +34 wheels and looking to get RE17RS but want to make sure of what i can fit. Was looking at 275/35 front and 285/35 rear. Stock suspension. Sorry likely been asked before but my search didn't come through.

Edit: looking like maybe 265 up front?

Car felt brilliant on track yesterday. New PB with my first time out on 200TWs. I did notice the rear end is twitchy on braking, which made me feel a little less confident, even though the new brake setup does allow me to brake much later. It would definitely help improving on my time. Any recommendations?

That all goes away with aero. That was the biggest thing I felt when I moved to adding aero.

Also, the brake programming that is being tested also seems to help alleviate that as the brake vectoring doesn't seem to dance around as much anymore.

I hit up CMP again yesterday still all stock sans alignment and brake fluid. I was hoping for 1:44s since it was going to be 10-15° cooler than a few weeks back. I ran some mid 1:45s again first session but had grip issues everywhere. I thought it was just the track being a bit green due to the conditions, but turns out I had greased and obliterated the inner and outer shoulders on the OEM PSS. I've had similar outer shoulder failure with PS4S so I'm not terribly surprised. I initially thought I'd get at least 3-4 days out the stock tires but managed to destroy them in 10 sessions. ? I added bunch of pressure and ran them the rest of the day just to get my money's worth. Good riddance, anyway... I'm guessing they really don't like going out at 26 cold and 32 hot.

So for the stock wheels I'm debating RE-71RS (which I've happily run before) or Supercar 3 -- thoughts? I'm more concerned about life vs pace since I'm handing this car off to my wife for the rest of the season. I'd take CR-S v2 all day if they were available..

Also some temp data. First session, ambient temps ~70° -- these cars in stock form do incredibly well at managing coolant and oil temps:

Intake temps with MST v2 -- upper is S1 IAT. Looking at this I think I'm sold on getting the turbo heat shield and maybe fab up something to shield the intake box as well.

And this is a few weeks back, later afternoon and 92°

Looks great and glad you had more grip! I get similar wear on my tires as well, but more evenly. I like Maxis and even Nanking if I can’t get Maxxis. Being able to rotate them helps.

Thanks for the info, definitely will keep that in mind for next season when planning out what to do
