Has anybody done this? Between the after market Roll bar (RSR) and the gigantic rear wing (VX1), the rear view mirror is very limited. I want to place a rear camera and have looked for a separate display vs a Rear view mirror dash cam.

If is a Mirror dash cam I would like to mount with a bracket instead of strapping in it on top of existing mirror.

Mounting a screen with a camera as some GT4 race cars are equipped is also an option. But I just cant find a suitable screen and camera for this.

I wish I could project a rear view image on the infotainment screen but that seems impossible. Besides, the resolution of that screen sucks.

Thoughts?

Thanks. Didn’t know you can code that.

Still, the rear view on that camera is too narrow, too small and has terrible resolution.
Also I need continuous signal at all speeds for the track.

Not a Corvette.
Does the VX1 sit lower than UCW or something? I don't see my UCW in my rear view at all in normal driving position.

You can code your rearview camera to work up until ~50mph. I know it doesn't really cover all the bases, but it has its uses.
is there anyway to mess around with it and have it on indefinitely?

Slightly if any. The swan mounts bring the wing closer to the front of the car, which should mitigate a lot of the possibility of viewing angles (although considering the v1x has more girth, it may be more visible).

I only see my ucw (same mount and final resting spot as the v1x) if I'm looking for it. I also have the duckbutt lip that further decreases the visibility by a percentage.

OP just wants to complain.

If you're comfortable in Protools, maybe? But likely not.

Mmm what am I complaining about?

I formulated a question about dashcam mirrors. I stated that Inwas worried that between the RSR rollbar and the VX1 my rear visibility was going to be reduced.

That was it.
