Yea the Hawks fit pretty loose in the guide pins so you will get more of that sound. Just drive forward more often.

Mine fit the wear sensors.
Yeah I was not expecting the clunk, but right away I figured that it was the pads shifting around on the guide pins. Just wanted to see if there’s any way to alleviate it or if I just gotta learn to live with it.
Wait until you see the dust the pads make, then wait until you get the dust wet and it welds itself to your wheels.
? I bet you’ll be fine. Try the p mu clubs next go round and compare. He’s probably right that those are better (less dust, cheaper, with same stopping power). But he’s also driving fast as shit, had those pads at or beyond their limit, & was time for him to upgrade to a better (more expensive) compound. They weren’t too bad for me. Maybe the heat down here helped? I eventually overdrove mine and tried the p mu999 thx to Bryan. Great pad!!!!
I’m honestly not too worried about it. My only complaint so far is the clunk of the pads shifting back and forth on the guide pins when backing the car up. Seems to only be my driver’s side that’s doing it so I wonder if I could try to re-seat it and get it to go away.
I know a significant number of us are in the "Zip tie the wear sensors out of the way and forget about them" camp, myself included. The annoyance of getting them to fit track pads, replacing them when they get fried by heat, or actually get to the point where they...sense wear is just not worth it when you should be visually inspecting your pad wear VERY often at the track. You should be replacing track pads WAY before wear sensors start squealing.
Definitely do what the others are saying. Get rid of those mofos. I did and never looked back. No clunking with the DTC60s either.
Eh. I’m not interested in getting rid of the wear sensors tbh. It’s a street car and the only reason I went this route is because I wanted better stopping power for canyon runs.
PMU CR’s much better pads for that then.
