Ottocast i3 for the iDrive 6?

As the title suggests, wondering if anyone else has got the Ottocast i3 for BMW?
It says that it works on iDrive 6 which I believe means that it could connect to the Apple Carplay without having to search from the car?

I bought one myself, will update if it all works! Perhaps a nice fix for us Android users!

Welp, just gonna have to try for myself, they do have a 30 return which they literally say "if you're not happy with it" lol

I'm always weary of products like these... I'm always interested if factory touchscreen capabilities are there, but I doubt the magic $300 "just plug it in via USB" device is going to beat out other MMI solutions.
Either way, let us know how it goes, OP!

Update on the ottocast i3...
It works! But no android auto, completely overlooked this.... The quality is pretty solid, as a way to get Waze on the screen is a solid option, but I think I'll stick to ID6 nav for now

Don't have an iPhone to test unfortunately. Though I didn't see any form of mirroring on it or airplay setting on there

So does this run any android app? Wondering if I can run the bootmod3 android app, connect to wifi dongle and show BM3 dashboard on the dash display with this?

Effectively it's an android tablet basically, so yeah it can run android apps, it does have APK loaders already on it, and it has access to play store
