After seeing @Cfdproductions beautiful C U Later build I'm considering grabbing a pair of OEM+ Beadlocks however currently I'm not looking to tune my supra or push big numbers. That being said I wanted to get opinions on this subject. Personally, when I think of grabbing a set, I feel like it might be a bit "ricer" to add such an aggressive set up when I'm not putting the numbers down to back it up however, on the other hand I absolutely LOVE the look it gives the car, so I'm tempted to just send it. Generally, I have the mindset of "It's your car do what you want with it" but just wanted to see what the general consensus of running Beadlocks are. Cool to do it for the look or cringe to be misusing them? Another thing to note is this is my daily so are there any consequences or sacrifices when running this type of wheel/tire set up or is it just like running any other performance street tire?

Glad that you like the look man! But honestly who cares what ppl think, I love the look of a beadlock I have them on 2 different cars and to be honest they do nothing but slow me down. Less than 1% of the cars out there can actually gain anything from them and those cars aren’t will racing or even really street driving the cars. The only real negative is the weight and how much of a pain in the ass it is to put them together. If you like the look and you can afford it do it IMO!

Totally the wrong style/look for a Supra.

Not my money, not my say.

But @Andrew4Supra loves judging others based on cosmetics, so maybe he has an opinion
~ Thanks Mr. BMW... but I'm going to need photos to be judgmental please. Looking forward to sharing my honest and unbiased opinion.

Yep, the OP has literally asked for an opinion on wheels (among other questions) and out come the "hand holders".

Appreciate the insight! Do you mind elaborating on the affording it part? Are they significantly more expensive to run compared to a "normal" wheel/tire set up? I don't have much knowledge on the tires required for Beadlocks.

If you'd like to check out Cfdproductions most recent post on his build thread to get a better understanding of the wheels I'm referring too, I'd love more feedback both positive and negative I won't take offense. I would post some myself however I don't feel comfortable posting other people's pics just in case!

Hey. Could you maybe, just maybe.. drive the god damn car?
I can assure you I drive her! As stated, she is my daily :headbang:. Just poking around the idea of changing up the wheel/tire set up to a less traditional set up that I am not too knowledgeable on and am seeking guidance from those who are. Hense the thread creation.

Ok look. Unless you are going to do this in the future. why spend the money. Just sayin

I'd invest the money into front/side splitters, lowering springs, spacers etc.. if you're going for looks.

Ok I've calmed down now.

Yes they often times can be nearly double the price of the Same wheel that does not have a beadlock
