Coolant leaking

Hey, so I’ve been having issues with my coolant leaking all over the engine bay. It seems to be coming out from the radiator cap which I’ve replaced in the past and now it’s just non stop. After I go for a drive and reach a temp I’ll get a drivetrain malfunction message followed by top off coolant. I’ve topped off multiple times within a week. My engine bay has coolant residue all over. Got the CEL yesterday and posted an image of the codes. Did a pressure test and everything was good. Anyone else run into something similar?

Performance mods: Aftermarket exhaust plus Catted Downpipe and only 9.5k miles on the car.

You can kinda see where it comes from by the coolant spray pattern but that doesn't really give an exact. In any case it's probably the hose connection, the bleeder screw, or this other thing circled. Easiest thing to do would be replace that coolant tank assembly.

That is what I was going to do but will take it to Toyota since it’s still under warranty and see what they say. I’m just worried it’s the heating management module based off the symptoms I’m having and other folks who had the same issue as me in this forum https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2091157#

Definitely take it to them since it’s under warranty. Make sure they have a Supra tech the day of your service date. They should do a pressure test for leaks (or air) and/or thermostat malfunction.

Curious what they say. Let us know! An improper seal from cap is usually the cause or overfilling. If it’s the bleeder screw or hoses, it’ll show up with a pressure test.

I recommend the brass bleeder screw over the titanium version with the Allen head. It's more cost-effective, and you won't need to carry an extra Allen key or worry about stripping the head.

Replaced it with a new OEM since I took it to the dealer today. I’ve seen your car around haha you are right within the neighborhood. I’ll keep you guys posted and see what they say

Update: Toyota kept saying it was fine but ended up taking it to a euro shop and they did a leak down test and boroscoped each cylinder and found what appears to be a coolant leak and possible fine line on the head. Took that diag to Toyota last week and apparently they are waiting on some tools from the Toyota loan program to take the car apart. Said it’ll take 2-3 weeks just for the tools to come in so it’s a waiting game now….

Ok thanks. What is the "fine line" on the head mean. I'm not familiar with the term. Do you mean a "hair line crack" ?

Yes exactly it is what appears to be a hairline crack but can’t really say. It’s been two weeks already at Toyota and I’m surprised this is all happening with 10k miles…
