I use those $79 HarborFreight hydraulics with 2ton? 2.5ton? limit. Since so cheap, I own two of them. I also use the BMS red anodized adapters. Works great.

I bleed the hydraulic maybe once a few years.

Jackstands I own SafeJacks where I can place under my hydraulic and raise the car at the jack points and lock it in place. Ramps I use RaceRamps.

If my kids were into cars, I would have raised the ceiling on my 900ft+ garage and placed a lift and storage lift.. with partial second floor garage lounge on my house.. but since they have zero interest, that project got cancelled.

Low profile Daytona jack from harbor freight and their jack stands in the past. I eventually got the 5k quick lift. I've only used it once in a year though...poor thing. Time for an oil change though!

I'd say get quick jack when you can...or better.

Asking those that have the quickjack - is the 5000 good enough? Did you get the tlx version (I have other vehicles I want to use this with)? And any issues after using a while - I’ve read some Amazon reviews about leaking around the seals?

TIA

I have 5000TL and they are like a year exactly since they got delivered and only thing I regret is not getting them sooner. So worth it. I have no leaks on the jacks but the tank/pump assembly does have the smallest of leaks. It’ll have a small wet spot under the unit when I pick it up after a month or so. And I mean a year later I used them this past weekend and checked the level and it seems just fine. I leave a blue shop towel under it and it’s just barely wet maybe a half dollar size spot after a month or 2.

Standard 5000 model is plenty. And keep in mind: when it comes to reviews, people are much more likely to leave a review when there's a problem than they are when things go perfectly, so ratings could easily be skewed towards unfavorable ones.

I've had mine for 3 years and they've been perfect, despite being technically a refurb unit (original cylinders were replaced, but it still came with a full factory warranty).

If you watch any of the YouTube videos that test their abilities, you'll see they're quite overbuilt.
