Now you've had some time for it all to settle...

Does the A90 feel like a special car?

The A80, even in stock form (+exhaust) feels like a special car - even just cruising around town being normal. It felt special, and like an event.

It's really hard to quantify I realise... but it was something that ultimately led to me selling my GT86.

In the turns and driving it properly, it felt phenomenal.

But putting around town like a grandma... it could have been a corolla.

The A80, on the other hand, even at pedestrian speeds - feels special. So does the AMG.

So... how does the A90 compare?

:)

It felt special at the event but it's the hottest car on the interwebs, so of course it would. I need to get some extended time with one later on in it's life cycle.

@Guff, since we were talking about the cruise control in the 86 a couple pages back, I wanted to share this with you. It's on my sales page.

Guff should have a better answer soon.

About the 86, part of that is that kind of power band. I drove a near stock mk2, but with a 1jzgte vvti swap (stock single turbo) in the early 2000s. Kinda felt like a camry, till you took it over 3500rpm and then it transformed.

With the A80, beyond the awesome response of the stock twins in sequential, the response you get from everyone around you is pretty unreal. Also driving with the top off makes it feel like a super car. Plus the cockpit, width and view over the hood.

Did Guff get an order in? :p

My A60 feels special, but the only thing left stock is the looks.... and I think the speciality is due to how old it is and unusual on the street
A70 feels special because it's a track car with nothing left
A80 does feel like the 90s supercar

I just hope the A90 has some magic.... Because the car i'm selling to fund it sure does.

Not sure if it's always been like this, but if you click on the following link, the image of the Supra is interestingly the MKIV:
https://parts.toyota.com/accessories/Toyota__.html?route=model

Confirmation that Toyota is going to start manufacturing MKIV parts again?! (But if you go in and click on the various parts it says it's all for the MKV...)
