Following on from last week's event, has anyone had anything further from Toyota?

I was under the impression they would be coming back to us to confirm orders, colour changes etc

I've not had anything beyond getting the official photo from the pit garage emailed.

As far as I was aware whenever you chose your colour and clicked confirm there, that's your order set and confirmed and if you wanted out then you needed to take action. If you do nothing the car will appear in September.

For colour changes I'm not sure how best to go about it but I was under the impression they won't be possible if you've already confirmed the order, especially as the cars are now all built. If there are a few people wanting to change though Toyota might be able to organise swapping colours if there are the right ones to change but probably can't guarantee anything.

When I spoke to the product manager he said he would be getting in touch with people as people wanted to swap colours etc. Also I believe we had 7 or 14 days post the test drive to cancel/approve the order.

Emailed my dealer today - can see the order is on the system but no other news yet.

I think overall it's actually been very poor communication all round. Especially for a car that is supposedly meant to be with us in 8 Weeks (according to the forum)

I would have expected them to bring you in to the showroom, sit you down and run through the whole process but i guess the first time you will hear anything is when the car is there

Yeah that's right, but I think it was to cancel the order only. No confirming or approval necessary, but I think most people are in touch with the dealers anyways for going forward.

I'm going in on Saturday so will see what they're saying then. I think although we are better off than the US the dealers here are still a bit out of the loop as everything is being handled by Toyota GB centrally, the dealers aren't really part of the process at all until handover. It's good in a way for us as it helps avoid markups!

I've not had anything whatsoever from my local dealer!

Think I'll call Toyota tomorrow on the number we were given re the test drive day.

Was told we would also get details on finance deals shortly too.

Called Toyota, they said someone would call me back and I'm still waiting.

If I can't change colour to black, I'm happy to stick to the white, but I would like an idea on the financing as was the residual would be between 33-35k!

For residuals I've been told 31-32k at 3 years and my dealer was surprised it was that high! They have still not been told that finance information is available but he kept checking the system and saw it was up, so might not be 100% finalised yet.

When I spoke to him yesterday he also said some of the cars are in the country already but being held as the depot by Toyota, sounds similar to what we've seen in North America at the ports there. He also said when mine gets up to the local depot here then as soon as that happens should be able to get it straight away from there, so it's just down to when Toyota release them to local depots, and no information on when that is yet.

Had what seems to be confirmation of my VIN today through the dealer's generic order confirmation link. Basically had to just check details and read Ts and Cs. Annoyingly didn't take a screenshot of it and now can't access it again!

Also had update with an estimated arrival at the local depot of 1st Sept.

I emailed my dealer and asked him to chase head office yesterday. He came back and said that delivery should be on the 1st September, but that was "tentative".
