Are you talking about Max? Or Lewis? Or are you conveniently forgetting his meltdown last race?I think if we never heard any of Max's radio conversations in race, his comments right after a race, etc, the view of him would be A LOT different. Danny was correct that off the track he seems like a genuine good guy.
For me, it comes from when his car isn't the fastest how he treats his rivals, how his emotions on track can lead to driving like a complete asshole, how even half a second longer in a pit stop means some snarky comments to the pit crew, never taking ownership in any on track incidence that he creates, how he treats his teammates on track as second class citizens that must bow to his greatness and are unworthy of ever being let by or given a place for their betterment.
Off the track, and off the grid and out of the media pens, he's likely a pretty solid dude to be around. Sure a bit quirky but aren't we all.
Let's see how you'd comment when you're driving at 180MPH, brake and corner at 3-5G's, you're fighting with all your might, but then you get screwed by something that isn't your fault. Adrenaline surging through your body, and you're just going to talk calmly and rational? GTFOH.
