This is a good video, but a few things.

1) they mention in this video, but don't actually offer different tips styles from what I've seen.

2) Same goes for the mention about an Atak version and an S-Type version, there's only 1, which is with the atak style muffler.

I had an S-Type on my 23' GR86 and liked it, but I think the tip style for the supra is kinda ugly
That's because the video was done 5 years ago, before Borla was selling their exhaust system in volume numbers. Currently, you can choose between carbon fiber tips or stainless steel look. (not sure if those are polished) I think the carbon fiber ones look best.
And you're correct about their not having an "S" option. Perhaps the age group of Supra owners would not buy enough of a tamer version. I'd be tempted to get one but really, with the windows up most of the time, it wouldn't matter much. Bystanders would notice, for sure.
I'll be ordering my ATAK version within the next couple of weeks. If you buy from a distributor like Summit, shipping is free. Borla will charge for shipping.

This one has a cool collector type thing in the 3.5" pipe under the car and then the Atak muffler has a resonator and muffler built into it. Just isn't quite as loud as AWE. Both companies spent some serious time on their systems.
It’s great that you’ve had both and can elaborate. Sorry I forgot, which did you have, the AWE touring or track? If the AWE touring is louder than the Borla, when in sport mode, that’s pretty impressive. Assuming Borla only has one exhaust option. Thanks!!

AA Catted DP with the AWE Touring (both res and non-res actually) were a bit louder than borla. Non res was perfect IMO, amazing mid range. Borla is deeper than both. If you want a valve though, Borla is perfect and very quiet in normal mode. Maybe with a catless DP Borla is perfect?

I have a decent video in car of the AWE Touring, I will try and replicate today with the Borla and post them both. I am still giddy like a little kid with this MHD tune, will need to contain myself

I like deeper and ready for no drone when mine cooks off. I‘ve got her welded in there (the joints that needed it the most) pretty good now. But… eventually it will break again - tracking long & hard enough. When it does, the Borla really checks all the boxes for me. The Borla that I remember on our Mustang. That DEEEP sound was bliss ?. If it wasn’t for your honest review, I’d be certain. Luckily I have time. And like you mentioned, having a catless DP might be to my advantage. So who knows… And like you did, I want to get the MDH mod someday as well. But those will both be down the road ?. Appreciate your advice amigo! Videos never do real justice to hearing these up close & in person.

its the truth! Sometimes I listen back to these clips and it’s like ‘really?’ It so much better in person.
I’d love to hear the catless Borla, just take a little deep tone away and add some mid range.

contrary to most, I like awe touring non res more than res for that added mid range and slight rasp. It’s just beautiful

Don’t wait on the MHD tune. It’s such a huge difference. Even from a JB4 car.

With a downpipe + Borla on my car now, they did a pretty good job with the drone. In normal mode there is NONE. In sport, with the valve open there is the slightest amount. The only one who does it better is AWE. Crazy how AWE is louder and has less drone. Highly recommend both setups!
Ok just finally tell us your dad owns AWE for fucks sake.

What I’ve always found to be hilarious is I got a stern talking-to when I went off about EOS making a shameless copy of AWE’s design. Then turns out to be their biggest advocate.

Because you don't understand the difference between the systems, clearly. One has mufflers and one doesn't

You’re right. The comment I made back then about Helmholtz resonators clearly shows I don’t know the difference. Neither does the AWE system on my own car.

Sorry Mate - are you saying they are the same or different? I misunderstood then

Different, other than looks. That EOS is a shameless, shitty knock-off. I hate they are/are trying to make money off AWE’s design in terms of the look. That’s what my gripe was. I’m all for you advocating for AWE… means I don’t have to do it. ;)

Are there any mandrel bent full titanium titanium exhausts outside of SARD? Remark made a batch of 10 for a limited run, but that's the only other one I can think of. I would love to Akrapovic has a partial titanium setup, but their midpipes are stainless steel.

I can get SARD's Exhaust shipped from Japan for about $5450 after shipping and tariffs. While expensive, it's cheaper than the Akrapovic full setup and it's fully titanium. It also comes with resonators which give titanium a unique richer tone.

I'm not a fan of having an extreme amount of welds, but it seems almost every full titanium exhaust out there is designed that way. I was posting to see if anyone knew of any others that I may have missed.

The only exhaust I have ever heard on the Supra that doesn't sound raspy is the AWE which has a "unique and richer tone." From what I understand, beyond weight, Titanium isn't the ideal material for exhausts anyway. 🤷‍♂️
