Funny how McLaren accused RedBull of cheating giving Max a new engine in Brazil, and here we are.

Talk is there's a new technical directive about skid blocks that McLaren used that expand during heat, they were outlawed starting this weekend, and that caused the planks to wear too much. That's why Lando had to slow down those last few laps, to limit the plank wear. Luckily the damage was already done. Funny though that they didn't care to tell Piastri that. Anyway, if McLaren has to raise their cars the next couple races, that could cost them quite a bit of performance so it's not over yet!

Antonelli drove a great race. That kid is going places.
Russell showing yet again what a weasel he is with that radio message and letting Norris by so easily. He'd rather lose a spot than fight for it if it means hurting Max's championship chances. Love the sportsmanship

Either way, McLaren have the WCC sown up, so you'd think any marginal calls around technical legality would sit with the drivers now? Stupid mistake! (..and the critical fuel saving at the end!)

The "fuel saving" was an excuse to limit the speed of the car, and therefore the downforce pushing the car onto the road and scraping the plank.

I am really curious to see how it affects them the next couple races. And if teams are going to file protests against McLaren if they used this all season and maybe even last season.

Oh stop it already. Mercedes had every chance to pit Lewis and he had every chance to defend the corner. After the Safety Car ended, Lewis was ahead. He had the advantage. You see now and have seen the last 4 years how good Lewis really is without a car advantage.

Had the rules been followed then Mercedes made the right call; Hamilton would have won as the race would have ended under the safety car.

RB pitting Max was absolutely the right call as they had space etc.

Massi fucked it for everyone really.

The rules were followed. That's why the result stands. And that's why the wording of the rules was amended afterwards to leave no doubt.

Masi allowed probably the best and most tense season in F1 history to finish racing, not parading. Something which ALL the teams agreed on the day before. So Mercedes knew this was happening. They dropped the ball.

What a turd. Oscar is now behind Max so I'm curious if he'll be ordered to help Lando even though he's mathematically still in it.
Sainz another beautiful podium. In a freaking Williams. Ferrari must be kicking themselves.

Those 3 points McLaren gifted Norris for forcing Oscar to swap positions at the beginning of the year are probably going to decide the WDC. Even though I suspect McLaren would force Oscar to move over to let Norris through to win.

Yeah probably. If Max is in the lead, Oscar P3 and Lando P4, I bet they will make that call. And it will make that title for Norris even more hollow than it already is. The way McLaren treated Oscar this year, I'd tell them to piss off.
