I think the 10secs was a bit harsh, any other day that would have been a 5sec.

Although, based on the 3 abreast carnage going on while he took the wider grass line, had Hamilton taken the official line I reckon there would have been carbob fibre confetti about! šŸ˜‚
Unfortunately 10 seconds is the rule -- Hamilton should've tried a bit harder to stick to the asphalt in the runoff. I still maintain that Max's dirty driving because of the dumb "first to the apex" rule in T1 is the cause for the whole mess. You could clearly from Max's onboard that he just cuts the wheel hard left at the apex and hits Hamilton, and the stewards then released the dumbest of all documents saying Hamilton was under investigation for the collision.

He was cleared for how he re-entered the track, so there was no issue there. The only issue they had was that he gained a place while he was doing that. If he had slowed down and let Max by, he wouldn't have gotten a penalty.

As far as Max's tactics in T1, that's how the rules are written, so that's how they're going to drive. If they don't like it, change the rules. Max was ahead, it was his corner at that point. There's nothing dirty about it, if it's the rules.

The only one who drove dirty, and got away with it, was Leclerc. He passed Hamilton on the grass in T2, and the Stewards didn't catch it lol.

There was an earlier incident were marshals were out on a hot track in front of Lawson, and they definitely were not going to take another risk like that.

Also, apparently Sainz's car had a small fire, which caused race control to trigger the VSC, but the marshals put it out faster than expected. Safety >>>> all else.
There was an incident in the 70's in South Africa where a car hit a Marshal running across the track. He was carrying a fire extinguisher and it hit the driver in the head instantly killing him. The Marshal was obliterated. The way they identified him, was they gathered all the Marshals and looked who was missing.
There's a video of it, but it's graphic.

I wish they would have shown that. Great points šŸ‘

I did like Max’s comment on it. Saying that’s how it goes, sometimes you win, sometimes you loose with those things. Regardless, I would have loved to have seen both of those possible overtakes (Max and Oscar). Max’s being more likely of the two.

Now if Yuki could just bring in some points, maybe RB could jump up higher in the constructors.

How about Ollie B. not cracking under pressure with those heavy hitters behind him? Glad to see the youngsters making moves towards the top. Kimi also did much better than Russel gave him credit for.

I loved that Bearman did so good! I was really enjoying his battle with Piastri until the VSC ruined that too.

Russell is a little bitch. The other drivers call him Georgina 🤣 nobody likes that prick.

Probably a long shot but anyone planning to go to Suzuka Circuit for the race in March 2026? I got a ticket for grandstand A1, would be awesome to meet up with like-minded people!

Well, it was fun while it lasted 🤣
Norris is doing everything right, so well done to him. I have a feeling he's going to run away with it now.

Piastri’s confidence is shook. He can’t put together a solid race if it was handed to him. The Mercs are heating up though. Glad to see Kimi on the podium.

Yeah I'm loving watching Kimi gaining experience. He's looking like a future great.

Un-fkn-believable. What a drive. From the pit lane to a podium.
From P19 to P13, a puncture! Last again, to P3. No rain, no safety car that helped him, nothing. Just pure, raw talent.

Lewis from P13 "Can't do anything from here"

Max from the pit lane, "hold my RedBull"

Insane.
