Also, any tune sent from an actual tuner, will probably be locked and you will not be able to edit it anyway. I know i lock my tunes. There is a lot of theft in this industry, so thats why. For anyone wanting to try, you will just take the bin and start from scratch.
Starting from scratch is exactly what I would like to do. It would make no sense trying to tune an already tuned configuration.

Thanks

I. Sorry about the fact that your edited ROM was published - I had no part in posting this information. Again, I'm in it for the fun and learning experience - nothing else.

Thank you
The XDF is posted publically is what I was saying. Along with a bone stock BIN.

You still need MHD to flash. It's very hard to blow up an engine behind these ecus due to all the safeties. That's also another reason to be careful on who you let tune the car. Because it's easy to cover up that they have no idea what they are doing. Lol

Yes, a programming device is required along with an unlock (I've sent you a PM about this). I've seen a few tuning disasters over the years and I'd never trust some Joe-hack with an ECU flash setup. Heck, I've seen disastrous results from a pro tuning shop and it was pinned back to an error in advance. At this point, I have no desire to flash my vehicle with my own work. Ultimately, I'd love to implement a basic tune, put the car on a dyno, hit a specific RPM and adjust ignition\AFR until an optimal power is attained - rinse and repeat. I actually enjoy the process over the end-result. TBH, even if I was successful in my endeavors, I'd still run a well known pro tune.

Thanks

I think that's why a few of us like myself want to have an understanding of the tables so we don't get tunes that are a hack.
Is the added supra updated ROM based on stock car?

Thanks man.
Then the others must be for other b58 variants that have no meaning for us supra guys?

correct. Supra guys you are only concerned with the following bins: C6405 and C6E05 don not use any of the others on Supra.

I see there are timing(main) differences between them at first glance. Are these both stock cars?

be carefull not to use the wrong bins or bins from a 140i or something, the tables and adresses are totally different.

We spent 3 weeks on the dyno reading, and custom tuning a bone stock supra, using mhd as flashing tool.
but we did a lot of work on a custom damos file (XDF) to find all tables, and even custom tables are possible as there are a lot of non used ones

Like twisted mentioned, no tuner will give a tuned map for free, count 3weeks on develepment time + continious dyno time, this costs a lot of money to develop and test, making sure the tune is also safe for the engine and gearbox.
after 3 weeks we are at 511hp / 779Nm on a bone stock car running eu 98 ron (93oct)

I don't plan on running any tables I change or build. I don't understand the waste gate side of the tables enough.
I will definitely be buying a tune. Just want to learn and like asking questions so I understand what I am buying.
I guess I dont understand how you are making that kind of power when a bootmod ots tune makes 430 with a downpipe. 80 more HP is a lot to leave on the table

It's about optimization across all engine functions. Many passes\changes have to be made to individual functions while monitoring on the dyno and all this have to be repeated once more optimal settings are determined. This is why good tunes generally take weeks to months to develop. Over the winter I'll be hunkering down and learning about BMW engine management systems. I'm seriously considering purchasing a Dynojet for shits and giggles however, I'll pickup the Supra first.

Cheers!

That would be sweet. I have done hours of logging and tuning based on logs. On a 4g63. I just thought that the ots tune would have more time put into it and not leave 80+hp on the table.

Today we managed to get even more (521hp-775Nm)

. But now we are at the absolute max on stock turbo and stock gfp + catback on 98ron. Next we will move on and go for hybrid turbo.
