I’m sure by now most of you are aware that the 2021 Supra will have over 380 hp stock, this is unfair to current Supra owners who paid msrp or over with their hard earned dollars, I will do a petition and post the link here soon, hoping to get everyone’s support so we can get a free tune and some sort of compensation from Toyota for our current cars. If there’s a lawyer on the forums please contact me.

PS: We know how performance upgrades work, a 50+ hp power Increase after just 6 months is absurd, nobody saw this coming, we all thought a software upgrade etc, not an ENTIRELY NEW ENGINE + SUSPENSION.

yea good luck with that, its a different motor. I have learned over the years not to buy first model years. Sucks for all the turbo upgrades out there, gotta start over with a new manifold and tunes and everything for 2021 forward.

I don’t even care about the extra horsepower , this absolutely crushed the resale values for us just now, it’s not funny at all, literally sub 40s on eBay in 3-4 months and we paid over 50k for our cars, we are getting punished for what ? For supporting Toyota ? I’m serious about the petition, those who find it funny don’t have to sign it.

OP's request is hilarious!

And it's not just a tune...

From Press Release:

"The increased output results from a slew of upgrades throughout the engine. The new dual-branch exhaust manifold, with six ports instead of two, improves heat management. A new piston design reduces the engine’s compression ratio from 11:1 to 10.2:1.

The greatly revised engine produces higher torque at higher rpm and retains the eagerness to rev with turbine-like smoothness. Toyota projects that the new engine will reduce the Supra 3.0 model’s 0-60 acceleration time to 3.9 seconds, from 4.1. The 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters carries over for 2021."

I understand why youre frustrated but let's not pretend a car, a sports car for that matter, is ever a good financial investment

This significantly increases the rate of depreciation. That's the point.
But this was known

"With a sports car, the promise is to offer more performance with each additional version," he said. And we can expect additional versions pretty much every year.

But this was known

He said a 50hp bump within the next 3 years. It was also widely assumed this would all be done with a tune, seeing as we know how much is locked away.

Saying that piston, exhaust, and suspension upgrades were "known" to be coming this year is incredibly and laughably disingenuous. Of course it wasn't fucking known, if it was no one would own a 2020 and the program would be over.

He didn't say anything, that's the author of the article speaking and not Tada
